Hey! Robert here using his stereotypical username that involves the word fire somewhere.

 

In comparison to some, I am a relatively new fan-- ~3 years.

 

I decided to actually join after lurking the forums as a guest for a time (but mainly because I told someone [who never read WoT sadly]: "The wheel weaves as the wheel wills," and realized it was about time I joined the bloody forums! Phaw!). Should be fun, right?

 

Oh, I like Star Wars if that means anything to another lurking fan. Although, I wish the movies used the force storm more!

Hi Robert! Glad you've joined us! I'm also a relatively recent fan, but the last few years that I've been reading the series I've re-read it multiple times.

 

I'd like to take a moment to point out the Social Community section of the forums - I didn't even venture into that area until I'd been a member here for about a year, and I really missed out on a lot of fun and some great people! Each of the social groups has a bit of a different focus and a different atmosphere, and you're welcome to join as many as you like. I personally am quite involved in the Black Tower, where we have rather a lot of Star Wars fans you might enjoy chatting with. Oh, and we're all a bit nuts, but we blame the taint. And the bacon.

 

Feel free to ask us any questions you may have about the site or the different groups and activities you can get involved with - there are a lot of helpful folks hereabouts who'd love to answer anything you want to know.

 

And while you're here, tell us a bit about yourself! Who are your favorite characters?

Ah, another Star Wars fan! If you do make it to the Social Communities, check out the White Tower. Both the Blue and Grey Ajahs are known for lapses into Star Wars topics! LOL!

 

Sometimes into Yoda speak, the Blue Ajah lapses. Come and visit us there, you should. Much fun will be had by all.

 

I've been a WoT fan since I was in college back through the mid-90's. A fellow student (and design project partner) got me hooked. I've been a lost cause ever since . . .

Funny story. I got hooked because I was told that Harry Potter's dementors ripped off Wheel of Time monsters. I'm like. No way. That is inconeivable. Then came half-man & our favorite overlarge bat that wasn't a bat.

 

I like fire. And all I want is a nice girl or three. I also do quite a bit of math & logic. I also enjoy speculating. (for example, I once considered what would happen if everyone switched genders in WoT. The dragon part got funny. Wouldn't it be awesome? -- an attractive chit with a king, warrior, and cross-dresser!)

 

EDIT: I've always wanted to see a cage match between Aes Sedai & Jedi! So epic. Balefire vs. force storm!
