Ach, you're right, I forgot that Lily was confirmed town. My bad. Playing Mafia on the weekends is a hit or miss for me, given that I can't just pull out the notes while with the husband. He gets all annoyed and stuffs, and I spent most of my allocated DM time working on Nature Week stuff.

 

 

Also, EP, your statement just struck me wierd. And, I'll tell you why.

 

I can't look around at the rest of the town and think of us as a team. We aren't working together, given that we cannot communicate. The scum? They are a team. The rest of us? We are TRYING to be a team, but calling us a team? Horrid word. Team goes with Mafia. And you stated that you didn't know who was the rest of your team.

 

 

Now, that sucks for you if you are town, because it was a poor choice of wording, but really, that's what happens with mafia. One person says something slightly off, that pings everyone else, and it puts you on the radar. And that's just how it goes.

 

 

That being stated, Mynd, honestly, two big lies on Day One? Really? So much wtf is running through my head, I don't know what to do with you. I really hope we can get you LDd tonight, but if it comes back again with a lie, you will be my number one lynch target. It is taking all my self control to not scream scum at you now.

 

Now, as for Basel's case, being made by Wombat and Hoof... any case made by Hoof makes me raise an eyebrow (HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?!) and new Wombat on board with it has me raise the other one.

"He lies so he must be scum!" is a great way to say "Let's lynch him and if he flips town, its his fault" without attempting to understand why.

 

I don't like the bus driver power being in the game in light of the other powers showing, but if we can use it wisely, we may be able to put it to good use. Perhaps we can deflect a few night kills back onto the scum?

 

Having said that, Basel Gill is acting very un-Basel like. He continues to dance around issues without building a proper case. I really have no reason to vote EP other than the power he unfortunately has. Therefore...

it really depends on where you end up getting aligned, in the mafia's hands it becomes a pretty useful weapon but in townie hands it just causes confusion unless you get really lucky

I did it without the context of the other roles. Looking at the game set up, this role will only cause confusion unless we manage it properly. In the hands of the mafia, it could be quite deadly. The Scholar role, on the other hand, is among one of those we should keep. Otherwise, I'd be pushing hard for a Pandy lynch.

pandy is just a hinderance to the town whether or not he is town, because of his being counted among the needed to vote but never voting I get where Mynd is coming from but scholar role (if indeed pandy has it) is very important.

voted by basel for "appearing to townie" the same reason the train started on him and no other reason stated for voting at the time of vote, Chrissy (honestly probably the only legit vote on me) voting me for stating I don't know who my team is (honestly the only one of the people on my train that strikes me as possible town atm) Mynd voting me to get rid of a role that he himself fought to protect on day 1 I mean really dude that's just terrible reasoning

 

EP, considering that I was the one who first pointed out you saying you didn't know who your team was, this is a total fail. I mentioned it before Chrissy did, and yet I am scum and she is town? If you consider me scum, then she must therefore be scum as well for sheeping my case, and buddying up to me. I could even believe you arguing that I am town and she is scum for those same reasons. But to claim that I am scum and she is town when she is using much the same argument as me means your case is totally useless.

 

One other thing that has been bothering me: Iron has pointed out Lily as confirmed town due to his Scholar ability from D1. Several of us have hopped on the Lily-as-town bandwagon. This overlooks one fact for me: Iron is not confirmed town. We know for a fact that he had the Scholar role. How do we know that he was telling the truth about his result? Just because he submitted a pro-town role doesn't mean he received a town alignment when Pandy made the draw. Unless we get some hard info about Iron, I see no reason to treat Lily as confirmed.

 

I have role #9 today. If I submit a name at night, I get a random fact about that person. I already have a couple of candidates, and Iron is on the list.

Basel wehen you voted me the only reason you gave was I appeared to townie, if you wanted to build a solid case you would have stated anything you might have suspected as you did not do that I did not count your comment as part of your case. Gain more bearing and try again next time. Until then your case is a weak case and shall forever be deemed WEAK CASE.
