My story as to Faile is this:

I was born in 89; my mother has always been a fan of Sci-fy and fantasy books. She has a collection that could rival a small library… Anyway in 90 my uncle bought her the Eye of the World for Christmas and said that he had heard it was good. Well, she loved it. (Of course!) Every year these books came out, he would buy them, read them, and then girft them to my mother. At age 10, I started to grow into my own with a fiery temper, and some fierce loyalty. She would always call me her little Faile when I got mad and I had no idea why. I would ask her and she’d laugh, saying it was from a book. This of course, would make me madder lol. By age 13 she finally started to talk about a book series she thought I’d like. But I was a busy teenager, and put it off until I was 15, my sophomore year in HS. I failed my English class because I was so busy reading the books (and I hated the teacher) I would read them in class. When I got to book 3 I had found Faile, I saw no resemblance at the time. But as the series goes on, I found that this character and I are a lot alike. It’s funny, I ended up becoming quite attached to Perrin because of her being my favorite character and when I met my husband he reminded me of Perrin very much. He’s a careful thinker and slow to anger (so I found out…haha), and so I ended up calling him my Perrin and he reacted kind of like me, asking where the name came from. Btw…he is now a huge fan of the series =), I infected him.

I started to take the name Faile ni t’Aybara for quite a bit of my online names but most of the time you can’t use symbols so I was reduced to Faile_TAybara or even FaileTAybara. So there’s that.

How I came to be a fan? I’ve been a fan my whole life and didn’t know it. These characters, they are like family and on January 8, 2013 I will be VERY sad to see it ended, and also super excited lol.

Least favorite? I despise Mazrim Taim. Although I have to admit, Galina Sedai was VERY close behind him for a while. And then, who would I be if I didn’t like Berelain? Haha I didn’t really care for her when she first threw herself at Rand.

Tapa talk is a forum..thing, that you can post replies to from your mobile device. Lol I don’t know a fancier way to explain it. Think of it as a website that hosts a large amount of forums from any website.

-I am part of a gaming community on xbox(DG FaileTAybara) and the old website we used was linked to tapatalk, so from tapatalk I could view our forums AND view DM’s forums in the matter of seconds, all from the same app. It. Is. Amazing! Lol …I sound like I’m selling it…

Thats quite a story and thanks for sharing with us. and thanks for the Tapa info. So do you REALLY like Perrin? Or is it all influenced by Faile?
