The way the Ape is trying to spin everything I would say he has some unique win condition or a pretty important role to his team. The way he's playing reeks of cult to me, I'm saying this based off of gut instinct.

What am I spinning?

You seem to be slapping anyone who disagrees with you as being vote worthy and the case on crusher is wishful thinking at best. I see his vote on you as a throwaway vote with the reasoning that you killed his bro and he wants to string you up like he does every other game.

We are two very different players. I'm playing on pure instinct right now.

How is that any different than normal for me? You still haven't explained how/what I am spinning.

Oh, and I never rely on instinct.

You and I are different players. I'm the one that is usually reliant on instinct, while you, you rely on reasoning and strategy. So this is out of character for you, the way I see it.

So let's talk about reasoning and strategy... In a 30+ player game, I would imagine whatever cult is in this game has spent the better part of it lurking and staying off the radar, like you did earlier, not jumping out front and pushing everyone's buttons, as I have done.

I'm not going to go and bring up every post. The crusher case is enough of a spin case. When I say "spin" i mean you take someones post (like mine) and throw back at the person and be like NO YOU'RE WRONG WE SHOULD LYNCH YOU. Which you just so happened to do with my case. So you proved my point by just replying back in the fashion you did.

Disagree. I've played as cult before and done it by leading. Your defense is the best defense for a cult member to have, as it is a pure WIFOM that goes against logic and most people tend to fall for.

Case on Amega was because he lied about what Christine said. I proved he lied. Its not spin when it actually happens.

Case on Crusher has a theory behind it, I'm just not at the point where I have enough confidence in my theory to lay it all out there. However, saying Crusher agreed with me when "defending" Nolder, and he subsequently used Nolder's death to push a train on me is not spin either. I'm pointing out 2 potentially opportunistic moves he has made. It would be spinning if I was making it up, but he did agree with me about Nolder early, and he did do a 180 on me after Nolder died. Its not spin when it actually happens.

As for the rest of what you are saying, of course its a wifom. 99% of mafia is wifom. Like you saying "I've played as cult before and done it by leading" is a wifom, are you just making that up? Or are you telling the truth? I dunno... and neither does anyone else here.

As to my inactivity I said it to you on JN ape and I'll say it here. Just don't feel comfortable here quite yet.

You said you were going to quit playing mafia. I said "you are in a game on DM" and you said "and not very active".

This is a really bush-league thing to do referencing stuff on another site.

What am I spinning?

Your making all these hypotheticals when all your being given are nothing more than observations. My statement was simple. Nolder was being Nolder, he got heat, you defended him and I agreed. He flipped Lannister and I assumed you where too. I feel like they are the closes thing we have to scum in this game based on the info given. That all I got and thats all I gave.

You then went on to start spinning tales of deceit and hypotheitcal plays nobody made to solidify your position and get me lynched because I called you on this. Thats all.

I asked Vic. He said I was spinning, I want him to back up his own accusation. I don't give a crap what you have to say dude.

Yes you do. You not only give crap you fling it all over the place whenever I talk.

I think he's making an attempt out of respect for Wombat, even though he doesn't really want to play. So instead of trying to figure out an irregular, complex game with so many people who have a bunch of weird names to remember, he's going to play on instinct.

So basically I've got a bunch of dimwits from JN voting me because I'm contributing... while there's still 20-something people shoe-gazing.

I don't by the theory on Crusher, which makes me....?

Like I said, I, me, view what you're doing as spinning. That's my own opinion because my interpretation of "spinning" is different than yours. The difference between you and I, at least this game, is that I'm ok with people having a different opinion. Someone who has a differing opinion from you is immediately a suspect. This type of hyper-accusatory play pings me.

Perhaps mafia is all WIFOM but you throwing cold water on the fact that your case was just another example of trying to pin something suspect on someone is nice to see.

That brings me to what I basically feel you are doing this game. Causing as much confusion as possible by seeing what will stick to what and settling in on a vote while the other "cases" slow cook themselves.

Vic will never be comfortable in a place where his freedom to post spiderman pics is restricted. A caged up Vic makes me sad.

Whoever gets to imitate me better spiderman that HECK (that felt not straight) out of that game.

Ape

For reasons explained the previous day, but mostly for editting.

This is interesting. If the mod wants to deal with it, he can. But you pointing it out is funny, and using it as a main reason for voting someone, when there is plenty of other reasons to vote Ape, or anyone else, is ridiculous. IMO. VOTE THORUM

A caged up Vic makes me has a sad too.

With 24 voting players, it takes 13 to lynch.

I lol'd <3 song

This is a really good point though. Thorum is next to me in terms of inactivity(this will be 30 for me, he/she/it/troll/elf/wizard/whatever has 21), and at the same time seems to have just wanted to give just ANY reason to put a vote on someone.

Speaking of which is that dude CosmicPanda still playing. I liked him. He threw around some sympish posts early and then drew to conclusion Nol and Amega as scummates. Could have been a good buss move too if he were to be teammates with Nol.

No, he was replaced by Despothera. Same logic could still apply though, because the roles haven't changed, just the person playing the role.

Finished reread, posting a few things that stood out to me. Will post in a few chunks so it's easier on those checking from a cell.

Unvote, vote Tina

Both Tina and Christine are coming off as scummy to me, but I'm going to vote for Tina because of the Greyjoy thing. I think her posts make it seem like she's looking for Greyjoys for some reason, and that disturbs me. The only reason I can think of to be looking for Greyjoys is something along the lines of if you find a Greyjoy you become aligned with that house and are possibly granted some kind of power. It reeks, (pun intended).

I don’t get this reasoning.

Personally, I'm voting for Tina cus she seems to be looking for Greyjoys, or the Greyjoys are looking for her. Personally, if that's right, I don't really feel like letting it happen.

So none of the other scummy things she did, just the Greyjoy part. Noted.

If they don't know their members, how are they sinister. That means the faction doesn't have a kill since they don't talk

They don't have an NK anyway. And even if they can't talk, they can still drive lynches. Unaligned doesn't mean roleless. It just means that they don't have a team.

It’s a little difficult to “drive” lynches without teammates. There’s no way to know if someone will back you up or not.

Seeing Levity's already got a few votes, I'm gonna go for another inactive who I guess is American: perfexionist

If we were trying to get inactives back in play and/or lynch them, WHY would you choose a different inactive to vote for?

Alright. You know what. Here is a reveal.

I am in a faction, and I have no idea who else is in it.

This bothers me. Going by source material, I'm afraid you're aligned with The Spider. His little birds don't all know who each other are...and I may think of who else you could be aligned with later, but for now I'm going to Vote Christine

Already pointed out. Just putting here for reference.

This game is weird, never played a Faction type before so I'm just like, skating along right now, but I can sorta get the jist.

It's too bad, I genuinely thought Red was the only one making sense as far as set up. Anyway, I was gonna vote Sakaea fwiw.

Don’t see how a faction game is that difficult to grasp. It’s also the first one I’ve played, but there isn’t that much of a different that I can tell.

So you were going to vote for Sakaea, but then voted elsewhere instead. Thanks for letting us know, I guess.

I actually believe Christine - for the moment - and will not be adding my vote to her train.

What? Who the hell believed her in the middle of all that discussion? And providing no reasoning either.

In light of that, I'm not willing to waste my vote on a potentially idiotic attempt to kill her (IF she is telling the truth). Given the scenario I described above, I believe that a Christine lynch is no longer in our best interest. Unvote.

Why would *not* voting for her make more sense than essentially proving her claim?

I'm tempted to put christine's claim to the test.

However, John's reaction to my and paperclips vote makes my vote stick to him. It's only a game.

Again, why not take the opportunity to essentially prove her claim/save us from talking about it for the rest of the game?

Posted

Not sure if I'm officially unvoted yet or not but I'm leaning towards voting Christine and testing her claim.

Ok, well then why don’t you do so? Fence sitter.

27 voting players, 28 alive. So either we hammer and see what happens, or we lynch someone else. I'm unsure as to which would be better...

Hedging your bets?

I don't think we are going to get clarification on this-we have to decide whether or not the risk of lynching her is worth a no kill or not. At the very least, she is revealed once and for all. I might regret this later, but Vote Christine.

Non Red bolding mine. Again with the fence sitting.

And if Christine is Melisandre, it would make sense given the insistence that she has on us trying to find one of the "unrevealed" factions.

I don’t get why that would be the case.

I'd like to see Smash contribute just a little more.

Vote: Smash

Easy vote.

Jaime is Cersei's buddy. If any Lannister defended Tyrion, it would be... Kevan? Kevan is my best bet. Or Tommen. Tommen likes his Uncle, right?

Jaime is not always Cersei’s buddy. He also had a fairly good relationship with Tyrion, so I can see him defending his brother.

Actually I think I'm overthinking this. I didn't want to vote for Ape since his train mainly consists of his JN bosom buddies, but honestly he was defending Nol so since Nol flipped Lannister this is really kind of simple.

Vote Ape

I didn’t want to….but I did.

Also I dont like the Ape train going on right now. Both night kills point to 2 factions setting up Ape for an easy kill.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it this way. The very first thing that I thought after seeing the kills pop up was that it was way too obvious that the dead people were those Ape had picked out (for lack of a better term). No experienced player would be so blatantly obvious as to who they had killed, which definitely leads me to believe that it's a setup lynch of some sort. And if TWO teams are working to get him out of the game, I'm definitely sensing that they can at least communicate within their ranks, which does not bode well for the rest of us. Those on the train right now would be my best bet for a vote.

I very much agree with the second part. Not so certain on the second point you’re trying to make, if only because the people going after him right now seem to be his friends from JN and that pattern might just be that.

And finally:

Ape

For reasons explained the previous day, but mostly for editting.

Is it Day One? No? Then get a move on with the real reason, or a real vote please. Until then, Vote Thorum.

(I think all you JN people are starting to affect how I respond to people…)

Catch up for all of you that don't read WoTs:

Found some things I thought were sketchy earlier in the game.

Quoted here for my two cents and for remembrance.

Think Thorum's vote is dumb.

Carry on.
