No they call the penalty shot contest after overtime a shootout. Like PK's in soccer. I think you knew that but couldn't resist the jab. I knew someone would go there.

The fighting is a nice bonus to the rest of the game. Might be the way to get soccer popular in US.

from what i've seen of the 6 year olds practicing, i'd think so. but... that's as far as my soccer watching has gone, so i could be mistaken.

 

i think lacrosse should have caught on, just for the violence of it. i like a well armed kind of game.
