Long enough to go to ballet and fall in love with it, and to have my dreams shattered when my thyroid STOPPED WORKING and I gained 50 pounds in a year... 10 pounds in one week before they tested my thyroid levels... Just kept telling my mom I was a fatty and should get off the couch and stop eating junk food.

I don't really resent my thyroid issue, but what I would definitely like to change is how I've had to feel because of it. I know from other people that I don't have to feel this way; if treated properly I can achieve some semblance of normality health-wise. I can be motivated, I can feel less tired, I can have healthier skin, I can lose weight easier....

It's just that I've had terrible/inexperienced doctors dealing with my problem until now. XD Now I finally have the chance to change things...

I can only swim certain ways. I can no longer rotate one arm all the way around. Makes swimming difficult.

Oh wow, I can imagine....

I can tread water. I can lay on my back and propel myself by kicking. Usually when I'm at the pool I stay in water where I can touch the bottom, and move myself by pushing off the ground, hopping forward.

I had rotator cuff surgery on both shoulders. The one that is the worst is the right. I complained for years but the doctors didn't believe anything was wrong until it was just completely out of place.

Ouch.... See, that's a problem with some doctors. They don't listen to the patients, they think they know everything, they have overinflated opinions of themselves... XD Some are great, but some.... *shakes head*

So what positions can't you move your arm in, anymore?

Oh, and I believe I have an answer for Ayla's postcount question... XD

If you post in a thread and that thread's deleted, the posts you made in that thread will no longer count toward your "real" post count on the profile, but the post count that shows under your avatar will keep going up and won't register a change.
