World of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time, does any one know where the updated version can be found or a site to search for it?

I bought it several times from Barnes & Noble and just checked at Amazon. Each are the 1997 version.

The updated version I take was released in 2001.

 

 

Those who have updated version, providing images of its cover and/or of first pages might help.

In hopes of the new one being the updated version.

 

First time I re-bought it was last year. Gave my former copy to a nephew at Christmas.

The other times I re-bought were this year. One copy will go to a niece's husband for Christmas; other copy will be part of a White Elephant gift at my church's College Group Christmas party.

 

Currently own the "newest" copy.

yeh a bought a really terrible version of it at borders, it was just a small paperback and it had no colour images or anything in it. what exactly is in the proper version? i heard there are some maps and drawings. does anyone know where i could buy the original colour hard back of the guide in Australia? preferably not on the internet but a store?

Yeah the one published by Orbit is poo on a stick. You're after the one published by Tor I think. Won't find it in Australia except at particular fantasy book shops because they import some. Seems Orbit has distribution rights for Australia, UK etc.

 

The Tor version has some pictures, such as the Seanchan beasts, but still it's kinda lame. I would prefer cooler, darker images, so kinda hoping something cool pops up in Harriets Encyclopaedia

No, as far as I know, they never updated the Guide. And I'm baffled as to why you kept buying it anyways. You didn't think to check before buying it?

 

There is a comprehensive encyclopedia of the series that Team Jordan has been working on off and on since 2005. It's due to Tor a year after the publication of the final WoT novel.
