The Disappearance of the 3 Ajah Heads ... BA involvement?

So sorry for not checking in like I should. Let me see if I can get myself moving again. :)

Soooo ... question. If this infirmary ter'angreal has a stedding type effect, does that create problems for people stuck in T'A'R? Since Stedding can't be entered from the dream world and all.

Not that it really matters, just something to think about.

Well, the stedding would be in the real world not the dream world. So, no matter where your body is in the real world it wouldn't affect the dream world (at least to my memory, I could be wrong). It would keep their bodies as safe as they could be while they "recover". Perhaps it would even grant them a protection of a sort in the dream world as well, since they're supposed to be out of commission there too.

As for tea, should we say that Jade simply didn't make it to our meeting which got us both concerned and we went looking for her. Each of us separately of course. Then of course there would be a search to make sure that there weren't others who were put in this sort of state which would reveal the other two.

Actually, just had a sparkie ... Arath, are there any of your Asha'man who have the Dreamwalking Talent?

Taei, how's your online time at the moment? Would you like to start the tea-party some time soon, or are you still LoA?

Lor's come up with a brilliant idea, btw - their new IC Head is a nosy gal who finds Jade "comatose", goes through her documents and stuff to try and figure out what's happening, finds your notes, and pitches up for the meeting out of curiosity. She'll probably claim to be the new Green Head (still must sort out the finer details with Lor), and sort of present it to her Ajah as a fait accompli

Ooh there's Lor! *grins*

Pity about that, Arath - would have been nice to involve some Dreamwalkers (of either side) in this. but they're ALL missing, it seems

Ok I hate having various threads on the same topic all over the place, so I'm going to request that Arath be given access to the Heads and Sitters board, then move this discussion there. (And I'm requesting that access for him since he's leader of the BT and many of the things we discuss there needs his input.)

Ok time to get this show back on the road.

Last I can remember, Lor's NSW was going to discover Jade unconscious (or so she thinks), and then make contact with Zarinen because she finds some of Jade's notes?

You know, I'm not MIA anymore... after reading this, and thinking about our conversation earlier, perhaps Elin asks permission to search through the Tower's ter'angreal stores looking for Dream ter'angreal, and finds that crystal turtle dream trap. While trying to delve it with Spirit, Elin accidentally sets the trap in the ter'angreal, though not in its intended manner. Her delving created a delay in the trap. Unable to discover its purpose, Elin leaves it on a shelf near the entrance for her to continue studying later. After she leaves, the Heads come down for a variety of reasons (entirely unrelated) and each touched the turtle thinking it just a pretty carving.

Then, when they go back to their rooms, the delayed trap is sprung, and all three are trapped neatly in the World of Dreams. The ter'angreal's description says that unless the person trapped is a trained Dreamer, they cannot escape. This would keep them neatly tucked away, and later if their players come back, Elin can be fully trained and "find" them wandering the Dream.

Helpful?

EDIT: I just re-read the Turtle's description... it was taken by the BA when they fled the Tower. Could they return it, or could Elin discover a similar ter'angreal?

Oh look ... THERE is it

lol ... anyhoo, now that I have coffee in my system ... we'll not be RPing the story of how when and where the 3 Heads get stuck in lala land, since they're not here to partake in the RP. We're just going to "find" them all unconscious, and pick new Heads.

That being said, if you want to do a totally separate RP where you find them trapped and unconscious in dreamland, that would be a great storyline. Of course, no-one can figure out how to wake them up (both in dreamland and back into the physical world) unless and until their writers return to DM.

Makes sense not to RP with folks who aren't here.

Though, having the background in place now makes sense to me... also, if I find them all trussed up neatly in T'A'R', but unconcious there too (because unbeknowest to us, the stedding effect does have ramifications in the Dream) I wouldn't be able to wake them... but we'd know where they are.

All of that to say "yeah! I'd love to do an RP later where Elin finds the missing Heads in the Dream!"

Sorry I've been a bit MiA the last little bit. Tadpole is making me go to bed WAY early, but I'm hoping that's coming to an end after this week!

I'm up for whatever you want to start, though. I can see if I can scare up some activity for the Greens by starting that thread and getting that part started. If I get that started by this weekend, will that work for ya'll?

Thanks! :D I had some fun writing it!

And come on in, Ama! *grins* The more the merrier! Here's the VERY general sketch for this one that I laid out. As you can see, lots of room to play and I'll follow your lead with how you want to play the Yellow here...

1- Amena wakes and finds servant trying to break into Jade's personal quarters.

2- Amena breaks into Jade's suite, finds Jade "asleep" and sends for a Yellow.

3- Yellow arrives and a)is flabbergasted by Jade's condition, or b) has already seen one of the other Heads like this this morning (thus the reason the servant was adamant about breaking in?).

4- Amena wanders Jade's personal quarters, trying to find clues about what might've happened. Finds sketchy note about a meeting with a sister of another Ajah that was supposed to happen today.

5- Amena hides the note without telling anyone else about it (is trying to be sneaky, so if you see anything, it'll be an "out of the corner of your eye" kind of thing you can confront her about later).
