As you can tell I take your suggestions very seriously. So please contribute. So we can grow this Ajah to EPIC proportions.

 

So one of my first suggestions, well it's not really a suggestion but it'll help us as an Ajah, is this list of Herbs from WoT. http://13depository.blogspot.com/2009/02/herbs-and-other-medicines-this-faq.html I think Amadine was the one who posted this before, but it's pretty comprehensive and it'll help us be more book focussed if we use Herbs listed here. By all means, come up with your own stuff, but if ya start having concoctions made of this berry and that berry or this root and that root, it'll help ya to use something from this list for variety.

 

Yeah. So feel free to post things like that too. ANYTHING to help our Ajah be fantastic.

Trainings:

 

Training Class templates: I will create a NSW bio for Tamistra Daharin and post a few training class templates. Feel free to use them to teach classes. Basically how this works is, there will be 4 to 6 posts per class depending on level and you can just repost them when classes need to be taught OR you can write your own. These templates are just for you to use in case you don't have the time to write new stuff or have writer's block. You then interject the training thread with more personalised posts that respond to the posts by your students. Tamistra Daharin will be the Head of Training of the Yellow Ajah called the Weaving Mentor, a title only known to Ajah members. She has already made her debut before in a thread with Amadine and Camigwen, appearing in the Infirmary of the Mind (http://www.dragonmount.com/forums/topic/49424-familiar-faces-attn-boops/). She is in charge of organising lessons for the Yellow Ajah and her chief role will be to teach Ajah lessons. Her bio will come shortly. All Yellow Aspirants will know her intimately, as she will act as their primary mentor, kinda like an MoN but only for Yellow Aspirants. Her role in the Ajah is respected, but below that of a Sitter. Her role is unknown outside the Ajah so difference to her will be purely by strength with respect to non-Yellows, but for Yellows, she is only below a Sitter.

 

Hopefully this will make it easier for us to participate in classes with Accepted and Novices. This way, whoever's free can RP as Tamistra and start a class. Hopefully it'll get more aspies interested in us.

 

The level of classes I was thinking of doing are:

 

For Novices (4 posts each):

A) Introduction to Healing, what you can do without Saidar

1) Introduction

2) Treating root causes not symptoms

3) Herbcare, including excursion and introduction to the Yellow Ajah Herb garden

4) Patient care, a day excursion to the Infirmary of the Young

and end off with a quick demonstration of Healing with Saidar to make the students go "Oooh!" and wanna come back for more.

 

For Accepted (6 posts each, coz Accepted requirements need those):

A) Basic Healing:

1) Introduction to Healing

2) Basic Delving

3) Basic Healing (Water, Air, Spirit weave)

4) Patient aftercare

5) Complementing with alternatives (Herbs and massages)

6) Practical application (working with actual patients)

 

B) Healer's Philosophy (As suggested by Nynaeve)

1) What Healing is and isn't used for

2) Managing Healer's mindset and expectations (Dealing with the death)

3) Managing Patient mindset and expectation (Introduction to Healing of the Mind)

4) Excursion to Tar Valon and working with the sick

5) Working with the young

6) Self preservation and Healer's health care

 

C) Infirmary Intership

1) Introduction to Infirmary of the Body

2) Introduction to patient care

3) Working long hours

4) Working with other Healers

5) Practical application of Healing

6) Practical application of Patient care

 

What do you guys think? If we're ok with this, I would like some help from you guys to write template posts we can use, using our NSW Weaving Mentor. I'll post up more details once we're agreed on the different class and we can start working on the individual posts. Also, Amadine, if you could approve or disapprove accordingly, that would help alot, since you're MoN.

 

This should be fun, non?
