Audiobbook relase time?

Hey amyone know when Auidble uk store will be releasing audiobook? Its on itunes already but 40 summit squid. I'd rather use my free audible credit to be honest.

Lucky. I still cannot find it on iTunes USA. No show on audible as well. I am guessing they will both post it around Midnight PST.

Since they're providing the audiobook to iTunes, they probably get more money from the iTunes sales @ $50 each than their own $10/15 credits. Delaying the release on their own site is the perfect way to squeeze more money out of the fans who stayed up late to get it. Considering that they released 50 other books smoothly at midnight, it's hard to believe that holding back the biggest one can be an accident.

Heh, they may think they'll get more money, however, I'm canceling audible once I download it. I was a member since 08, but this is completely unacceptable.

 

I suggest you do the same. I tried to email them a complaint, and ironically yahoo decided to block my message. Just going to call in the AM and let them know they lost my business over this.

I'm meant to be studying too! I keep refreshing the page on audible every couple of minutes like a zombie, instead of studying. It's less than a week until my first exam.

Ha! Had that problem last year. Didn't do so well, in the end. You might want to stay focused.

Relax Boys ..... Knife of Dreams came out later on the day of release too.. It's not a conspiracy, just S.O.P.. and YES, there ARE bigger title releases than this one and as much as you'd like to imagine the opposite, most releases on Audible do NOT come around at midnite on the release date.

 

and I"m no Newb to Audible either, just in case that crossed your mind.

I just discovered that you can sign up for just ~8$ for the first month, and receive your copy of ToM immediately! No need to wait for air mail! And there's also the possibility to get the first book for free. I can't believe it. Plus you may cancel your subscription after each month. This is simply too good to be true. AND I can associate my audible.com account with my Kindle, and download my audiobooks to it. Heaven!

So, do any of you guys know:

(a) How many credits ToM is expected to be worth?

(b) Am I missing something about their offer? This isn't a honey trap, is it?

Hi Yoniy0 you are not missing anything. It's not a honey trap. Regarding number of credits their twitter account says 1 credit but I would take it with a grain of salt since the same twitter account said the book would be out at midnight pacific time. :(

I'm really hoping they get it out before i have to go to work, its going to be a terrible awful day if i have to go without a good book to listen to!

EDIT: found it. Who would have thought to search for "audible" in my Twitter home page? That's WAY too complicated.

I got up at 3AM today, because it was supposed to be up on their site (audible) by that time..It is now after 9:00 and still not up. I have e-mailed them and nothing back yet.

Just called Audible. Their rep said "sometime later today", but he didn't have an exact (or even an approximate) timeframe. BOO!!
