I still don't understand baseball and it's the American "pasttime" yadda yadda yadda... so I guess I'm alright. Heck, I don't understand American football either. I just cheer when my team gets to the other side. ::)

I used to watch baseball, stopped now. Cricket is far more entertaining and one of the only games in the world that incorporates tea and lunch breaks. :D

Same here, Andrew. Though I actually find golf interesting. More interesting than baseball-- besides, the rules are simple: hit the ball into the hole. The end!

Ah rugby. Funny how everyone in this country goes on about the England football team (who are crap) and no one ever talks about the rugby or cricket teams (who are actually really good).

LOL, my boss at work so much the same thing about the Cricket...All the news was about what went wrong with England in South Africa...

 

Which remins me I think we should bring back those threads with the sporting pictures, I can't remember what we called them, I think you started them...we need those again.

I heard on the radio while I was in Florida how Brits HATE how Americans have polluted the language. Though, it's even funnier (hehe, more funny) how a lot of the phrases actually came from there in the first place. And I say this with all kinds of love <3, I can't wait to get over to England when I study abroad my Junior year in college. :)

What really annoys Brits is when Americans tell us to speak English. I've had that before, it is quite infuriating actually.

I wish Americans would learn the slang before coming to Britain as well. My mother once shouted something about a 'fanny' in the middle of a high street. I just wanted to crawl away and hide. :P
