Battle for the White Tower

Pherno saw Orbein standing stock-still in the middle of his fiery attacks, his shield holding despite the force that Pherno was applying. He was sweating heavily.... he must be tiring. There were weaves of all five powers faintly drifting around him, but they couldn't be a threat. Pherno's smile faded as he concentrated, and suddenly the fireballs stopped, and Pherno concentrated his power into a massive drill of flames and air.

Pherno spun his arms around in front of him and thew drill expanded, shooting forward into Orbeins shield. His shield held for a few moments, but it buckled and finally shattered. Orbein was knocked backwards by the force of the blow, and Pherno let his firedrill dissipate as he ran forward, ready to finish this.

Now it was time,Pherno thought he was defeated,he spun the weaves from him toward the Pherno. This was called the soul binder and it could be used in the world of dreams only because it had certain limitations that he didn't understand. He will die instantly after he releases the weaves but that was not important  because he will have his revenge

Suddenly Orbein threw the Weaves he had been forming, and they spun toward Pherno. The weaves wrapped around him before he could do anything, and he couldn't move. "What is this weave! It surely is a peeve!" Pherno shouted, as he tried to unravel the weave. Orbein smiled, and said "Once this weave is complete, i will die, but it will be worth it." Pherno realised that he might not escape this one, as the weave resisted all attempts to unravel it. the weave drew tighter and Pherno knew that it was nearly completed.

Bending all the power at his disposal, Pherno wove fire, and tried to burn the weave away, and it began loosening. Suddenly Pherno kicked outward, and a fireball streaked from his foot toward Orbein. Orbein was distracted, and the strange weave, highly unstable, went out of control. Their was an explosion of light, and they both cried out.

When the light faded, they were both back on top of the tower, out of the world of dreams. They were on the ground, gasping for breath, and Pherno realised that hours had passed while they had been fighting. Their were only a few light channelers on the roof, as the rest were on the lower levels, trying to hold back the Shadowspawn, but they were losing ground. The channelers on the roof all ran to help Orbein, who, like Pherno, was badly burned and groaning in pain.

Pherno staggered to his feet. Shadow, it hurt. It was like when he had been killed by Jon, before the Great Lord had resurrected him in his twin brothers body. Orbein was just as hurt, but he was getting healed soon, by the Aes Sedai surrounding him. "That is Enough! Time to see if you are tough!" Pherno shouted, or at least he thought it was a shout, but it probably came out as a croak. To emphasize his statement, he threw a fireball at Orbeins feet, and the Aes Sedai backed away.

Pherno raised his sword and charged. Orbein followed suit, and there blades crashed together. Callandor was shining with a brilliance that matched the sun, and Pherno's angreal shon with a black light, like the depths of the Dark One's soul, and together they looked like the ancient symbol of the Aes Sedai.

Suddenly, Pherno's sword began cracking. Small, barely visible cracks of pure light began forming and spreading through the black crystal of the dark angreal. Pherno saw it, and was horrified. "This can't be happening! My sword is cracking!" As the words left his mouth, the black angreal exploded in light, and they were both knocked backwards. Orbein lost his grip on Callandor, and it fell to the ground between them.

Before anyone could react, Pherno had pulled the sa'angreal to him with air. Rising to his feet, Pherno advanced on Orbein. It would end here, and the world would burn.

..........................................................

Rand was tired. So, so tired. He had been battling the Dark One, a man-sized figure made of pure shadow, for nearly four days straight. Moridin had opposed Rand, and they had battled, but Rand had triumphed, and knocked him off the edge of the pit into the depths of the Pit of Dhoom. Now, the Dark One was winning.

Rand didn't know how he had kept it up, but despite his fatigue, he had battled to his best. But it wasn't enough, the Dark One would win. As he parried another of Shai'tan's sword blows, Rand realised something, the only way to win would be to Sheathe the Sword. It all made sense, and would fulfill the Prophecies. His blood on the rocks of Shayol Ghul. Rand prepared himself, and left himself open. The Dark One stabbed, and his shadowy sword pierced Rands side, but Rands sword, shining with radiant brilliance like Callandor, went straight through the Dark One's chest.

The last thing Rand heard as blackness overcame him was the infernal shriek of Shai'tans death.

.....................................

Pherno raised Callandor over Orbein, who had been knocked down again by Pherno, and he prepared to bring it down. "Your time is nigh, Tsorovan M'hael, your ship is about to sail." Pherno laughed. Suddenly, there was a flash of brilliant light in the far north, so brilliant that Pherno was temporarily blinded and dropped Callandor. The light faded, and Pherno felt.... empty. It was like something that had been there for all his life had been ripped away, something important. He also felt.... not angry. Not happy, or calm, but his negative emotions, his anger, hatred, envy, jealousy.... were all... subdued.

He realised what had happened. Who had influenced his negative emotions? Who had Pherno sworn to when he was still young? Could it be? Could the Great Lord have.... lost? Deep in his heart, he knew the answer, and every Darkfriend, Dreadlord and Shadowspawn knew the answer as well.

The Trollocs howled. the Darkfriends and Dreadlords were frozen from shock. Pherno was so shocked, he didn't realise that he was losing control of Saidin. Light streamed from every pore in his body, and he screamed as the collected power of 72 strong dreadlords and Vora's sa'angreal coursed, uncontrolled and wild, through his veins. The Dreadlords in his circle screamed too, as one by one, they all were reduced to piles of ash. Vora's Sa'angreal shattered, and Alviarin exploded in flames like the others.

Pherno screamed, held by the power for what seemed like ages as Orbein watched in half-horrified, half-satisfied fascination. Suddenly, the light faded, and Pherno stood there, his skin mostly fine, but his clothes and hair charred and burned. Before anyone could do anything, a Gateway formed behind him, and Pherno fell through it, and it closed.

OOC:Great Job Pherno,I was wondering what to do so that both of them survives but you found the answer.Once again great job.And now SEASON FINALE :))

Dovien smiled as the Tower begun to crumble, most of the dreadlords that were with him were dead now,but he was winning, the shadow will triumph.Giant hammer of air and fire smashed the outer walls of ten levels above him.His shield protected him from the crumbling.Suddenly he felt the shield form around him and his connection to Saidin. So some of the witches survived then,he thought to himself. He will teach them a lesson.

He tried to break the shield but it was impossible.Suddenly he saw who was holding him under the shield and begun to smile. It was Cyndane.

"Ah,good to see you again, and now if you will be so kind to release me,we will talk on some more comfortable place."

"I live only to serve Amyrlin",she said, and with the horror he became aware that she was thinking what she said.

He begun to attack the shield more violently, but it was useless. She was stronger than him so she could held him under the shield as long as she don't tie it.He hoped she will, then she will understand the true meaning of the word Pain.

he tried to grab the True Power, but it was nothing there, just the void.

Pain hit him, like the million of needles stabbed in his brain at once.World around him begun slowly to vanish. He felt the Pain in his chest, his heart was stopping. Before he died he managed to see Cyndane lying on the floor, screaming in the Pain.He managed to smile. He will not die alone. Those Aes Sedai in the Tower will die with him.He grabbed the saidin and let it consume him.

He was healed by one of the Aes Sedai, right after the Pherno vanished. He hoped that he was dead.He was sure about that.If he was correct, that was a death gate that was leading out of the Pattern, but still some feeling inside him told him that he didn't see the Last of the Pherno.Tower begun to crumble just a moment later. He could hear the Screams of the Aes Sedai ,but he didn't pay attention.Instead he wrapped the top of the Tower and two levels bellow them where all survived channaleres were.He used the Power of the Callandor to the maximum.Luckily circle of 72 formed and they joined him.He channeled and the bubble shield begun to raise and to float on the currents of the Power. It was magnificent site to see the top of the tower float in the Air seemingly without any support. They were at the safe distance when the Tower finally collapsed. He lowered them on the hill out of the Tar Valon, where was safe.He saw from the Air as the Trollocs and the Myrdralls were consumed by the fire that appeared seemingly out of nowhere, but he knew what that meant.

Lord Dragon has won the Last Battle,Shai'tan was dead.

Epilogue

Lupin stared in shock and horror as the White Tower crumbled and the top two floors floated slowly to the ground in a bubble of air. The Trollocs and darkfriends that hadn't been killed by the rubble, barely a few thousand, fled into the hills. Lupin still couldn't believe it.... Shai'tan was DEAD! How could the Dragon have won.... it was.... IMPOSSIBLE!

There weren't many Dreadlords left, less than a hundred, and Pherno and Dovien were both missing, presumed dead, and the rest of the high-ranking Dreadlords had been killed as well. Even the Chosen were dead. Demandred had fallen to Nynaeve al'Meara in a duel, Moghedian had been killed by Aviendha, Egwene had killed Mesaana and Aran'gar, and Moridin was almost certainly dead at Shayol Ghul. In fact, the highest-ranking surviving dreadlord was Lupin.

Well, maybe hope wasn't lost after all. There were still tens of thousands of shadowspawn and many Darkfriends left. Maybe, if they regrouped, they could still cause the Light some trouble. Who needed the Great Lord anyway? it was time for humanity to rise as the sole rulers of the earth, with shadowspawn slaves serving as warriors. The Shadow would rise again.... and Lupin would lead it.

...................................

Min watched in horror as shayol Ghul collapsed, the last of the Light soldiers escaping as the entrance caved in. Shayol Ghul, the most feared place since the breaking, was now a pile of rocks, with lava bubbling out of holes in its side. All she could think about was rand. He hadn't come out. "Rand.... No." She sobbed. Elayne began crying, and even Aviendha began tearing up.

Suddenly the place where the entrance had been exploded, causing them all to jump, and Rand staggered up, blood pouring from his side. "RAND!" Min, Elayne and Aviendha cried out in unison, and they ran to embrace him. Rand laughed and held up his sword. "I did it! Shai'tan is dead! Not imprisoned, DEAD! The Shadow is no more, the Light has WON!!!" The soldiers cheered.

A gateway opened behind them and Nynaeve came outwielding a strange stave. She ran up to Rand, sparing a glance for the wreckage of Shayol Ghul, and pointed the stave at rands side. the wounds glowed and healed, leaving only a pale scar, no trace left of the half-healed, never-healed wounds. Nynaeve smiled, and said, "I found this in the towers ter'angreal stash. Good work rand, we won"
