As the sun rises, you awake to find the fire out and the empty hollow where one of your fellow survivors had bedded down. A quick count confirmed what you had already known - someone was missing. "Where's the pregnant girl?" asked a nervous woman. A shout sounded by the ocean. You gasp in horror as you see the body of Claire floating facedown.

 

Aust, the Neighbor and Innocent, has been killed.

 

It is now Day 2. There are 11 players left. It takes 6 to lynch. Deadline is Thursday, March 25 @ 8:30 pm CST.

Now, it could be that the mafia were laying low on Day 1.

But little ol' Aemon comes in and moves the vote to the inactive guy.

 

Was it bad logic? No.

Was it the perfect opportunity for the mafia? Yes.

This isn't a random lynch. A random lynch is when the Mod has to randomly kill a player.

This isn't chaos. If I wanted to be a content little mafiaoso...I would have placed my vote on someone else. Because I would be safe.

All right. I still don't see why I'm on your list, but it's all good. I think the mafia would have just let things continue the way they were. There was no way we were going to get a majority vote before the deadline and Pale would've been killed off anyway.

That being said -

 

You are unable to fall asleep, whether from fright of your new surroundings or the adrenaline soaring through your veins. Or it could be the fact that the sun remains at its zenith. It seems to be waiting for something and will not rest until a decision has been made.

Pale was a goner.If you want to analyse day 1 votes, all you have to do is look at the vote count I just quoted. That's the way it was at the deadline. No harm done in that respect. What we did was get everyone to agree that an absent player is more of a hindrance to the town than a help. We got the best of both worlds. We have a chance to see how the voting turned out with no pressure except the deadline and we got just about everybody to come together to get rid of someone inactive. I believe every active player in this game is thankful that it was Pale and not them.

Rose seems to have suspended the deadline, and I think she would have let us get a majority.

We got one on Pale.

People would have voted.

 

Or....MCS and or Lia is glad it wasn't them. :P

That's something I'll have to take into consideratin fr future games. Chrono's game has just traumatized me with inactive players. You know that's the only reason town lost. We couldn't get a lynch because of all the inactive players. 3 days without a player controlled lynch!! Now I have no sympathy for inactive players. It bothers Al Jenn to no end. Makes me laugh. He really gets worked up about it. ;D

Pssh...we would have won two days sooner. I would have gotten lynched, Alanna would have recruited, we would be at the same numbers, and the town would have been down one more person. Plus, the mafia would have been able to talk to each other.

But that's old news. Plus...I was Kira, Al!

I told everyone I was going on an LoA and I told the Mod first ;)

 

It sucks for Pale, sure but at least we only lost 1 innocent on Day 1 instead of the probable 2 innocents, one a lynch and the other a modkill. That would have meant we started Day 2 with 3 innocents dead (if there wasn't/isn't? an SK). I think we've come out a bit ahead myself.

 

I can see your point Ed, Aemon does look a bit suspicious...it was a sweet spot for the Mafia. What I don't understand is why they didn't just go after someone else and get the extra innocent kill?

The vote count at deeadline. Afterwards there were a few more votes for mcs before I suggested we make Pale a controlled lynch instead of a modkill. I've jus done a reread and there's really not much to analyse here. The biggest posters were mcs trying to pull his bacon out of the fire and Ed trying to keep it there. The only thing in the entire reread that REALLY got my attention was this:

This was her first post after the Pale lynch and I can't find the post from Tigs that she is refrencing. Must be back a few pages because Tigs didn't post on that page or the one before. None of this is scummy behavior, but it does make me scratch my head and say "huh?". Anybody have thought, ideas, questions. We need to get this game going.
