As far as the relics and needing to use the three together.  We don't know which three or who has them and no one trusts anyone else to be "in charge" of them to be able to use them to stop the darkness.

I've had quite enough of your insults Anox.  Think maybe you can make a point without insulting the other person?  Maybe Alys is lying maybe she isn't.  But Kivam confirmed she didn't know Pete stole her relic.  You unvoting for that is weird when that's not even why you voted her in the first place.

that said, the thing bothering me about alanna and tigs vote conversation is that they appeared to be trying to gather support before they jumped in.

 

@ anox, alys is not trying to purposefully misdirect. she has already stated the relics are the key to defeating the mafia. if not why have them??? they could also lead us to mafia.

 

with more than one mafia member to find, how is it bad for me to say that i see more than one suspect?

 

dpr, you say we should use relics to find the vessel, why tell us to ignore relics? why ignore the 3 but talk about the 2?

But Pete confirmed it. (except Kivam confirmed that, as far as Alys knew, she was telling the truth about no one stealing her relic.. she wasn't informed that it was stolen)

Bold is pointing out what I said.. Pete knew he stole the relic but Alys didn't know it was stolen.

Like I said.  You unvoted because Pete's "confirmation" that Alys was lying about the relic was, in fact, NOT a confirmation.. beings as how Kivam squelched that.  So how did you KNOW Alys was lying?  ALl of that points to you knowing about someone stealing Alys relic.  That isn't why you voted for her to begin with so why is it why you unvoted her?  You make it sound like you voted Alys because you know someone stole her relic she claimed to still have.  The only way you would know that is if you stole it or you knew Pete did.

al also thought they were killed ritualistically then used to help summon an evil god. could the ritual be the early day ender? the rez happened the nights after that.

dpr is keeping me on my toes. everytime i think he is ok he does something else off. half of me is thinking this is a ploy to keep both sides from getting enough support to kill him.

 

pookie is on my short list with quibs. they have both been helpful and tried to share knowledge. wish to see them more.

 

pandy has not been instigating and it is weird. he has not been around much to be fair.

 

barms bugs me, but he is a final push player, so no real gauge. i do think he is less helpful than norm.

 

tigs could go either way. i am not sure. alanna is the same though she defended al day one. need to see them more.

 

nae seems frustrated. she was silenced for a day or was really good at not posting. a maybe inn. i think.

I don't really pay attention to Pete's seeing gambits everywhere.  He does it in every game.  There are a few of them that do that.  Everyone that agrees is working together and everyone that doesn't agree is working together to do a gambit. ::)

 

I believe Al was onto something and that's why he was killed again.  I agree with Alys (Omg we must be a team ::)) that we need to peruse his posts from after his resurection.

*For the players who are new to the DPR & Alys show - our "truce" is an agreement we made about 150 games ago, so don't spill your jello getting excited that she means we're communicating off thread. After ripping each others guts out time after time, we decided that we would rather see each other make it to the endgame, when we have the most info, before we really start to sweat each other. Otherwise, we both just die and watch a lurker who has probably only played 3 games chortle over getting rid of DPR and Alys.*

 

And yeah, we're still on. I'll admit to a far amount of shenanigans in the game so far (read spam) and I could pull the loose thread on a few of your comments, but I won't. We will need to start getting serious soon though, for obvious reasons.

Okay. Let's think about this. Resurrection does not necessarily mean Al Jenn has come back with the same role he had. I could be wrong about this, but I really think it's something to mull over. It also might be possible that a certain relic or whatever was used to bring him back, and not necessarily by the mod directly. So if this is the case, an innocent used it to bring back a fallen innocent, in place of one that would possibly be killed during the night. Or the cultists brought him back as one of them to turn their numbers even more to their favor. It may even be that the person who used it, no matter what their alignment, used it on Al not knowing who or what he would come back as. For the record these are just random thoughts that bounced around in my head right after I saw the post of the nights events. I really believe it's something to think about though.

Well I can't say that I thought this would happen in the slightest. However after my... untimely demise yesterday I think I will stay away from the line of reasoning that lead to that death like Alys suggest. Just to jib some people though... I am still innocent *Laughs*

 

It feels good to be back. Alys you're right nothing worthwhile has been talked about really, I will double check a few... interesting posts I saw and post my thoughts on the win/lose conditions shortly. *Smiles*

 

Relics and the Vessel and Al's thoughts on it...

I'm looking for at least 20 people in this game.  There will be relics.  There will be thief plays.  And there will be (at least) one very special twist: the mafia may win if you kill them all.

 

There will be a Vessel, randomly selected from among all the players in the game (including the mafia).  If the Vessel is still alive when the final mafioso dies, and certain other conditions (which I will only reveal to the mafia) are met, the mafia will win (obviously, if the randomly selected player is mafia, this option is off the table).  The Vessel will not know who they are, and they may or may not have another role.  Should make for an interesting game.

WIN CONDITIONS:

 

The win conditions for the scum in this game are unusual.  Yes, they will win if they can kill you all.  But they will also win if they all die - as long as: 1) the Vessel is alive; and 2) another condition (that only they know) has been met.

 

Remember that.

 

Also, be aware that, at the start of the game, nobody knows who the Vessel is.

Well I think it is safe to assume that the vessel isn't mafia and so they have that win condition. So let us speculate. Can the finder identify the Vessel? If so they're an equal threat staying alive as the mafia is. I am going to assume the second condition has to do with the relics. Either they need a certain relic or a set of relics. I am going to assume some relics are expendable and others aren't. Now...

 

2) You MAY NOT post any information about a relic on the thread.  That means no claiming to have one, and it means no publication of any information you got via PM from me when you obtained your relics. You can speculate about whether other people have relics, but that's it.

 

I'm not sure how much we can talk about relics, however I think it only refers to any that we might have.

 

I don't know how or under what conditions I came back, but I would like to assume it was a relic and not a persons role. That being said, I don't think this was a one time use relic. Or that the person who had it was way to scared of getting it stolen. The reason I say this is because I think I would be a terrible person to resurrect. You should all agree: I'm new, play weird, and wasn't very valuable to the town being vanilla. I also don't think many people think I have much in the way when it comes to skill with this game *Shrugs* That and the lynch there are no hard feelings for. Like others have said clean slate right?

 

Relics are unique and an important aspect to this game. The mafia are going to try and confuse us about their alternate win condition. I would guess a set of 3 relics. I'm not that familiar with this theme so if anyone has some clues as to what they would be please help.
