I had to edit it, because I accidentally put an equals sign instead of a + sign.

 

Actually, I'm not sure how anyone could solve that. :D

 

How about X2+2x+1?

Like I said, I have no idea how to solve it backwards.

 

But the long complicated one is (x+1)5 and the other one is (x+1)2

 

I've been doing a LOT of math lately. :D

Ok, now that that is out of the way. There is a way to solve it Locke, it is called Polynomial long division. You have to guess at the roots. The ones you provided were perfect polynomials... They only had one root.

 

Check out this link, although I don't think it goes into polynomial division it will help if you're curious on how to solve complex polynomials. I think you'll grasp all of it quickly.
