1. ed voted first, and in a playful enough manner that it could be a normal Day 1 vote. But, he then choses to reinforce it.

2. Pandy voted next, which I also figured to be a Day 1 vote. But, he comes back and urges folks to vote for me, so that I'll rattle and can be analysed (btw Pandy, why not just analyse me? Hell, I'll talk all day long and answer every question you throw at me. You know that...)

3. Then Torrie jumps into the mix. It was a little akward and it bugged me - which I stated- because it had the feeling of something that had been duscussed and planned. This was a less than delicate move camoflaged by Day 1 antics.

4. Then, Aust actually changes his vote to jump on a bandwagon. Based on spam. Which is fine, except, you kind of don't want to get caught jumping on a bandwagon the lynches innocent for the sake of spam - it does tend to look bad on you for the rest of the game...

 

Soooo...here's the deal - somebody's got to be lynched, and it won't be th first time I've been done in on day 1 - but I won't go quirtly when there is tasy information to highlight.

 

Nobody has done anything but spam yet. Day 1 is always tough to squeeze info from, and even if you do get any, it usually pops up toward the end of the day when folks are actually trying to make cases.

 

My bandwagon started early and with no real provocation - which tells me that Verbal is right and that this stinks of a plan.

 

If the votes had been cast in jest, someone would have pulled one off by now. Instead, all 4 of these players have reinforced their votes - they are obviously serious. But serious over what? The tongue guy may not be popular, but he's not exactly a reason to vote, so there has to be something else to it.

 

ed, Pandy, Torrie, and Aust - feel free to share your reasoning with the group. In fact, I insist on it. heh. I'm right here, happy to answer questions, etc, so let's get a little conversation going, shall we?

 

You can lynch me, I'm not all that worried about that, but I won't let you do it without leaving everybody else lots of nice info.

When you vote for someone, you always have a reason to do so...it may be a silly reason, or a serious one...but there is a reason.

 

I've collected a handful of votes, and done the normal thing with it by calling on those that voted for me to explain themselves. And as I see it, the options are as follows:

 

1. You state your reason, and leave your vote. Okay - that's fine - but you leave a trail of evidence by doing so. But this is all good...

2. You realize that an honest attempt to collect info is in progress, and you unvote if you were just being silly.

 

Anything else is just deception - all of the "Oh, I just have this feeling..." or "I'm just guessing" doesn't help the town, and at the end of the day, you are either helping the town or your not. No two ways about that, and there are no innocent bytanders in this game.

 

So, I'll ask again. What are your reasons for voting for me?

The Lily thing is from another game. Where she killed me because in my first game...I spammed. I happened to be the Godfather of the other mafia team. But in the first game, I was an innocent Puppeteer, and I know spam isn't necessarily indicative of mafia. In other words, I was saying the spam doesn't mean you, DPR, are mafia, and I disagreed with the reason for Aust's vote.

I already said why I voted for you. You can be devious. That early on Day 1....it was as good as any other reason. :P

 

I haven't changed my vote because it will just be random again. Do you have someone you think I should vote for? Because I don't (besides maybe Aust or Torrie? I can't tell with Pandy, so he can wait).

Thanks for answering the question, and for what it's worth, that's as good a reason as any to vote on Day 1. Of course, I will be sorely dissapointed if I get lynched because you went with a metagame vote, but at least you are honest. Point to you.

I'm sorry - probably my feeble attempt at being clever confused the purpose for my vote. My first vote was a random day one vote. The second one for DPR was for a couple reasons - first because you do seem, as Ed indicated - as though you can be quite devious - probably a skilled player. Second, cosmicpanda suggested voting for you to add some pressure to see how you'd react, which seemed like a good way to give me something to go on (because really so far we have nothing to go on with anyone). Which, incidentally, it has. I'm not sure yet if I'll change my vote or keep it - I'm going to wait and see. I have also considered that it is possible that pandy might be up to no good and is just trying to lead a bandwagon against you, but again, I'll have to observe some more before I can make any guesses.
