Rand and Galad

I can see them having some revelation before the last battle though... Thats almost disgusting though really... Galads half brother is eh doing some pretty fun things to his half sister... :S What a mind blower for him...

Heh - he's probably more upset about Rand supposedly killing his mother. The relief should make up for the weird moment when it arrives.

Rand: "Ha-ha! I killed your mother!"

Galad: "What? I shall smite thee, foul shadowspawn for such a grievious act, half-brother or not!"

Rand: "Nah, I actually didn't, she's fine. Psyke! I'm just doing your sister. AND I'm going to save the world."

Galad: "Oh... well, that's okay I guess... hey, do you know the Creator?"

Galad seems to be about to join Rand, because he feels that the right thing to do is fight in the Last Battle against the shadow.  I don't think Rand and Elayne is the biggest issue, but I think Rand with Min, Elayne, and Alividea will make him too happy.

There might be a chance that Rand and Galad might make an alliance, though maybe not as brothers.

Galad suggested to his Whitecloaks that they seek to ally with Aes Sedia & Ashamen.  Galad might find out that Rand started the organization of Ashamen and might plan some sort of truce or treaty with him; possibly through Balwer and/or Perrin.

Sooner or latter Rand might seek for a truce with the Whitecloaks, like Rand has with the Seanchan; and might decide to do it with Galad after he finds out who leads each faction.

I'm gonna necro this thread, because I felt like discussing Galad.

Galad is Rand's half brother, he is technically 'The Blood of the Dragon'

The blood of the Dragon Reborn on the rocks of Shayol Ghul will free mankind from the Shadow.

This is the point I was going to make, and wonder if anyone agreed, and thank goodness someone does!!!

So, my theory is that Rand and Galad will meet, Rand will have some emotional revelation of the fact that they are half-brothers and he will sacrifice himself for the good of the world. We think Galad is going to bring the Whitecloaks to the LB, and then I'm thinking he is going to make the last minute decision to save Rand's life so he can finish someone important. Taim? A foresaken? I'm not sure, it's been a long time  since I have thought much on this theory. Plus Galad is a "what's the right thing to do here" type of guy... So, I can see how he'd get to "we share blood, blood needs spilling, DO needs killing, I can't kill DO, Rand at least might be able to, ok, my blood, Rand go spank the DO"

Just food for thought!! :D

Just to clarify..

Rand and Elayne are not blood relatives. Rand's parents are  Shaiel/Tigraine and Janduin. Elayne's parents are Morgase and Taringail Damodred. LoC Ch26)

Rand and Galad have the same mother, Shaiel/Tigraine, but different fathers.

Elayne and Galad have the same father, Taringail Damodred, but different mothers.

Rand already knows about Galad (TSR Ch34)

That could be true but I think it more likely refers to the Aiel, since Rand was born Aiel and I think most of the Aiel will die at Shayol Ghul, hence The blood of the Dragon Reborn on the rocks of Shayol Ghul will free mankind from the Shadow.
