Hi everyone ! I'm new on the forum (otherwise I wouldn't post here... ::)) even though i'm visiting the site from a long time. I wanted to ask a question to you, guys, but i didn't knew were to put it so i'll ask it here, with my description.

Actually, I'm am from  Quebec, near Montreal. I'm a not a native english speaker, (i'm sure you could have guessed that by the way I write ^^ I do hope it's not so bad) so this means I speak french in my everyday life  :D. It is my mother who bought the first book of The Wheel of Time (without even reading it...What a shame) and since I read the first page I've been an addict  ;D

There's not many people who know WoT around were i'm from, i'm almost sure i'm the only one who reads that in my little town, even if I "corrupted" some friends of mine  ;).

This lead to my question. Since I am a french speaker, i'm also a french reader ^^ In the french translation of WoT, the books aren't divided the same way they are in english. There is about twice the number of books, which let me thinks that each volume in english are separated in two volume in french.. Anyway, I suspect that not every volume have been translated in french.I'm having a hard time trying to figure were the french volumes are, compared to the english ones. The last book I read finished with Rand escaping an attack at Cairhien that destroyed a great part of the Sun Palace. This is where I ask your help : Could someone tell me to wich english book this event is related ?

There's a lot of them, not sure how many offhand, people in the General Book Discussion might know though.

Cheers from a fellow Canadian, will you be going to WorldCon in Montreal this weekend? Brandon Sanderson is supposed to be there, as well as Tom Doherty from Tor. Unfortunately, I can't be there, but I sure wish I could.
