A Moiraine versus Cadsuane incedent... the idea is good, but I think they are the only two that really have Rands personal interest at heart. Maybe Verin also, but Cadsuane and Moraine are the first two Aes Sedai that Rand has felt that he needed. I think if a showdown were about to happen some sort of coincedence or random event would stop it because I really do think Rand needs Moiraine easily as much as he needs Cadsuane.

I want the Moiraine - Rand reunion to happen fast so he can laugh again. I want a lot of people to meet Rand and find out that their presumptions about him were wrong (Morgase, Gawyn) but I don't want those meetings to happen before Rand has stopped being such a stupid hardass. Also Tam to see Rand again.

Elayne - Perrin regarding the Two Rivers should be a good one.

And also I'd love Perrin, Mat, Rand, Egwene and Nynaeve just having a scene where the forget the weight on their shoulders and remember the good ol' days.

Gawyn, I guess you are referring to his belief of Rand killing his mother.  Meeting Rand again would not fix that since the Dumai's Wells battle did not fix.  Gawyn meeting his mother might be the only way to fix the belief.

Morgase, I guess you are referring to the rumor of Andor being another of Rand's conquests.  Perrin seemed to correct her when he told her that Rand wanted Elayne on Andor's Throne; and it seems Morgase has forgotten things concerning Andor.

The ultimate confrontation would be to put Cadsuane, Sorelia, Siuan, Alise, and Lini in the same room and lock the door.

Others to see would be: Fain vs. Super Fade (forgot the spelling)

Nyn vs. Moggy Round 3

Tain vs Logain

Moiraine meets Lan

I'm also looking forward to (if it happens before the seanchan show up) Gwayn's younlings against the army led by his sweetheart and commanded by his mentor.

It may not be a confrontation, but who do ya think is better at gathering and filtering rumors, Thom or Balwer?

Egwene finding out that Halima (Arangar) & Delana are darkfriends (when meeting with the Sitters in Telaranrhiod) should be interesting.

Egwene's encounter with Elaida and the mole would also be interesting.

If Elayne meets Duhara again, that encounter might also be interesting.

After Elayne gets Andor's Crown and after Aviendha reports, maybe one of them suggest Traveling to Rand to get married.

One encounter I would like to see is Tuon & Rand, hopefully with Matt present. They would undoubtably be plently of shock moments for the characters and it could be more comical part of the comming books e.g.

Rand to Tuon - this is my general Matrim Cauthon

Matt to Rand - thats my wife your talking about

Tuon to Rand - Kneel

Matt to Tuon - (after the seanchan take tar valon) where's my bloody horn

              precious?

Rand to Tuon - your voice was semirhage

The big one for me is Moiraine and Rand. Moiraine is the first Aes Sedai that Rand ever trusted (Elayne, Egwene and Nynaeve were not Sisters then) and just before she fell out of Randland, Moiraine achieved a status with Rand that even Egwene never got; Rand stopped thinking she was manipulating him.

Oh, I forgot.

I would also like to see Moiraine and Lan together again but I think it will be weird that they will not be bonded.

Crazy as it sounds and impossible as it is, I would love to see Ingtar make a comeback. He was one of my favourites even in that moment after he revealed he was a Darkfriend and before he redeemed himself.

Another one that hasn't been mentioned yet is Hurin, the sniffer. His journey with Rand was one of my favourite sequences and I thought he would play a bigger role in later books. At the time it seemed that Hurin would become a main character. TGH was weird like that. The characters built up strong relationships with the Borderlanders and then suddenly there were no more Borderlanders.

Exactly. This is why I think Moiraines return will have such a big impact on the story. Rands PoV after she died, when he read her letter, was one of the best Rand moments ever. Moiraine was the ONLY person in the whole world that tried to help him actually be the Dragon Reborn that he needed to be. I rooted for Rand more in that scene than any part of the series. The way he felt very alone really drove home how much he had taken her for granted and as Ive said in other threads I think Moiraines return will shatter Rands list, or at least be a big part in it.

Perrin vs Slayer. Their encounters were brilliant, I wish more was put into that bit. I want more Slayer! More specifically I want more Isam. Im annoyed by the fact that he hasnt tried getting one back on Perrin for the arrow in T'A'R.

off topic....

I'm grinning like a cheshire cat reading all these posts. What a collection of posts. These books have deeply enriched my enjoyment of reading...bring on next three books.....

on topic....

One i'm looking forward to is Banner Gereral Kirgan turning up in Ebou dar to the Seanchan high command with 200 extra damane (wise ones) thanks to Perrins battle plans - also her glowing praise for Perrins skills.

Another is Musenge meeting back up with Karede and telling Tuon what a brilliant battle commander Mat is - she'll meet this with outward indifference but inward satisfaction.

When Rand goes to the Borderlander camp, he would probably come with at least 13 of his strongest channelers and the channelers bonded to them (so that they could shield the 13 Aes Sedia in the camp).

The meeting would probably most likely take place after Elayne's coronation is reported to Rand.

The Seanchan that are currently with Perrin had plans to chase Galad's group.  There might be a chance that Perrin might convince them to hear the Whitecloaks out; after Balwer convinces Perrin to suggest it.

Some possible ways for Mat & Thom & the 3rd to get to Tower of Ghenjei:

-Egwene having some of the Aes Sedia check on the Band (when having one of the Telaranrhiod meetings).  After finding Mat, Mat or Thom explain their situation then the Aes Sedia do Traveling with the Band some place close (like around Whitebridge).

-Elayne after crowning go search for Thom so that he could play for her babies. Thom explaining his situation.  The channeler/channelers that came with Elayne then do Traveling with the Band some place close (like around Whitebridge).

Either way Mat & Thom & the 3rd walking the rest of the way.

When Logain reported to Rand about the Borderlanders (that are in Andor), he mentioned the Aes Sedia. (Knife of Dreams Chapter 18)

From the paragraph::

The Borderlanders are still in the same place. You were wise to stay clear of them, it seems. Rumor says there are thirteen Aes Sedia with them. Rumor says they're looking for you.

Noticed a little word that Logain used twice there? Rumour. Rumours and knowledge are two very different things.

Yet rumors often have some degree of truth.

In this case they do.  The Borderlanders have (or at least had) 13 Aes Sedia with them; the Borderlanders are searching for Rand (though Rand interpreted it as the Aes Sedia searching for him).

Even if neither was true, Rand would probably bring his channelers anyway just to be safe.

Rand could also do one of his disappearing acts like he did in ACOS where he felt Taveren was really working for him and go visit the borderlanders with just Min.  We all know how well that worked out, a Miasma and Fain.  Wouldn't surprise me in the least if he does something similar this time especially in the state he's in.

The reunions/meetings I want to see:

Demandred/Mesaana/Semirhage in the final stages of whatever it is they planned in their alliance to see how it played out (and if Semirhage is not actually severed by then it would be a miracle, because I think Cadsuane could make a REALLY good case to Rand that it wouldn't be torturing her, per se, especially since they can now HEAL severing, but Semi probably doesn't know that and I bet you a pretty that THAT would get that b*tch broken and talking in no time!)

Mat and Bode--Because I think Bode would try to channel at Mat and it wouldn't work (foxhead) and he'd give her a well-deserved spanking that would put her in her place.

Rand and Tam--I kind of think the universe sort of owes it to Tam to see what sort of man he raised.

Elaida and Siuan--This might be where Gareth Bryne would be necessary to keep Suian from dying...but I bet the whole thing would have a comical flavor to it.

Moiraine and Siuan--A reunion of BFF's, awww.  Wonder how they'd feel that both of them got an ex-lover of Morgase?

Morgase and Elayne--Dying to see what Morgase would think about who fathered Elayne's children and that she now has an Aiel "sister" and the two of them share a baby daddy, who just so happens to be the DR, oh and then there's Min they have to share him with as well...something tells me Morgase's first instinct is to sick Lini on Elayne.

Moiraine and Rand--This might just be the keystone to making Rand remember laughter and tears--because I imagine if he saw Moiraine again he'd probably laugh AND cry with joy that he didn't lose her.  although since Moiraine suspected Cads might be BA I do kind of wonder how that would fly as well...

Morgase and Gawyn--so Gawyn can stop  being an idiot thinking that Rand would have actually murdered his mother.  Going to be hard enough when someone breaks the news to Gawyn that Rand knocked up his sister.

Enaila and whoever it is that she is supposed to make a bridal wreath and give up the spear for

Moridin and Rand--their fight to the death is going to be interesting because of the link they now seem to share

Egwene and Rand--since I'm curious exactly as to how Rand is going to "know her anger" and what is going to be done about it.

-Semirhage vs Cadsuane. A confrontation of words of course. But will still be interesting.

-Mat and the Eeelfinn.

-Moiraine and Rand.

-Slayer and Lan.

-Perrin, Faile, and Berelain, after Faile hears the rumors about Perrin and Berelain(on the very night she was captured!)  That will be interesting! I want to see Perrin take Berelain as his second wife! Rooting for Perrin to be "the man in white".

-Morgase and Gawyn.

-Padan Fain vs one of the Forsaken. I want to see Fain take down one of the Forsaken. He seems to hate the Dark One as much as he hates Rand. So I'd like to see what he'd do if he met one of the forsaken.

-Min and the Aelfinn.  They seem to have the same ability. They could ideally teach Min how to read her viewings better  (The Aelfinn study the air above Mat's head before they answer his questions.)
