BSG Mafia - Day 4

I'm actually with Mynd on this one, he had "quotation marks" around the section where he stated your name, making it clear he was quoting (in a mocking fashion) Dragonsworn's post, and your vote on Mynd was on principle of him being scummy in every game as well him mentioning your name in a post of his where he was talking about Dragonsworn.

 

That comes across as weak reasoning to me and as an attempt to lynch an easy target.

This is all alibi after the fact, Rosie.  You didn't react to dragonsworn's blatant finger pointing at you but my mere mention of your name (which was in reference to the same post) caused you to react so.

 

 

So - do I vote for Mynd or dragonsworn? Either way, I figure I have a 50/50 shot at a mafia.

 

 

And then....your new post has enhanced my suspicions of you, in that you claim that you see both myself and dragonsworn as mafia, and yet were torn between who to vote for.  Why not vote for the one with more votes then, thus furthering the game along?  Why, instead, vote for the guy with less votes, splitting the majority, and thus preventing us from reaching a majority?  How are you so sure one or the other of us is mafia, if not both or neither?  

 

We need a majority on someone in order to move the game forward.  That's how we get the information necessary to make the right lynch picks, as well as to give our finder the right info to view folks with.  I still would like to hear from dragonsworn on this, but if we were not in this current voting situation, I would ask everyone to consider switching to MSwhiterose immediately.

Mod Query:  Oh, and Lia...please check the 2 votes on Barm.  Is that accurate?  I only see Kivam's name, but in a game like this, I would not be surprised if extra hidden voting is going on.

I agree with Mynd.  I find mnwhiterose's responses combined with her original fingerpointing to be more suspicious than dragonsworn atm.  Though dragonsworn is suddenly strangely quiet despite his original activity.  I'm going to vote for mnwhiterose now, but I'll switch back to dragonsworn if we need it for the lynch.

Well, for starters, you look the scummiest right now.  Why are you so sure that it is a 50/50 chance of getting a mafia between me and dragonsworn?  What if we both are innocent?  What if we both are mafia?  Why, among the 14 other possible players for you to choose from, you figured you had a 50/50 chance among the two who had the most votes?  We both just happened to also be your two most suspicious players? Quite a coincidence there, I think...

 

So, please state officially, for the record, why you feel that I am mafia, or "pinging your radar" as you state.  I'm sorry, but "you mentioned my name in a post" is just not good enough.

Barm's reaction to my vote has been . . . nothing.  I'm not getting the vibe from Rose - if she were scum, somebody would have coached her away from these over aggressive responses.  So I'll shift to Mynd for leading (what I believe) is an innocent lynch and his buddying up to me.

Okay, I'll be honest and say I didn't read everything, just skimmed and read a few whole posts here and there.

 

I find Mynd's switch from dragonsworn to rose a little shifty.  But he's Mynd, so he's always shifty.

 

If my vote is completely needed, I'll vote to get the lynch in for the Town, but I'm still not getting much from anyone right now.  I will do a more thorough read and hopefully have a more definitive post.

I do think that we should keep an eye on Mynd, though.  He's led lynches away from teammates before. 

 

On the other hand, mn's vote for Mynd brought him and dragonsworn back to even.  So Mynd's not the only one who could be trying to lead a lynch.

 

Also, Mynd: I said "I agree with Mynd" because Barm had said "I'm with Mynd on this one."

For mynd's inquiry, I think it is suspicious that mn did not post a response to my condemnation of her, yet she jumped on your impresion of me.

Also Illiara I did state names. I said in the post you were refering to that I thought, blig, mynd, mn, and barm appeared suspicious.

Now, I'm trying to think this through, but I've never been good at that.  So, to summarize:

 

Gypsy and Mynd both had the majority of votes, with Gypsy leading Mynd by one.  Then Mynd, "startling the snakes" as he always says, was trying to get some kind of response out of Gypsy.  Mynd quoted Gypsy with quotation marks ("").  In this "quote" he mentioned whiterose who responded by voting Mynd.

 

And now rose has taken Gypsy's spot on the voting ballot, tied with Mynd 5-5. 

 

My first reaction, is that whiterose overreacted.  Maybe she didn't read the whole post of Mynds, or maybe she misinterpreted it.  That's my feeling of what happened, and now the truth of the matter has been burried under pages of posts, that no one knows what happened anymore.

 

No, I don't get a negative vibe from whiterose.  I think it all started with a misunderstanding.

 

However, not even I am going to take my word for it, because I know I've been wrong too many times before.

 

I am not going to vote yet.  Rather, I am going to wait it out, see what responses I get, and evaluate.  Hopefully I can pinpoint something.

I could say the same to you, Kiv.  Buddying up to someone is not typical Mynd mafia play either.  All I was suggesting there was that you seemed to be giving much more attention to another game that we are in than this one, which suggested (and still does) that you have less at stake in this game.  

 

My contention is not that you and MN are mafia buddies, so don't put words in my mouth.  My contention is that you are trying to keep the votes split so that we do not reach a majority on anyone, which above all else, leads to us getting no information.  We all know which side favors no information.  

 

Do you disagree that her reaction was overkill and her reasons were weak?

So, either you think I'm scum and Rose isn't (in which case, why are you voting for her and not me), or you were lying when you said you don't think we're teammates (in which case, lynch all liars comes into play), or you just simply haven't put much thought at all into the details of your analysis (in which case your aggressive push of a flawed case makes you seem scummish).

 

So, behind door number 1, you're acting like scum (voting for someone you think is innocent)

And behind door number three . . . you're also acting like scum (pushing a flawed case against an easy target)

 

Since the only 3 possible interpretations of your post lead me to believe you're scum . . . I'm pretty happy with my vote.

 

As to Rose's reactions - yes, they were over the top.  But there were so many of them, over a long period of time, that she simply can't have a teammate.  If she did, that teammate would probably have told her to chill out.

 

Of course, I could be wrong, and the finder should definitely take a look at her at some point.  But right now, she's nowhere near the top of my list.
