BSG Mafia - Day 4

I wonder if I reveal, get modkilled, and therefore cause a random lynch that might get a mafia.....hmmm.

Dude, this has nothing to do with sportsmanship.  I'm a deadman but it doesn't mean I have to stop fighting for the innocents until my death scene.

Because like I said, I'd prefer a dragonsworn lynch but people have made pretty darn clear that they don't.

 

 

Hybrid, I would not be so quick to want to lynch me. I don't want to give away to much but I am a very good benefit to the town.

And if you take out an innocent, or the finder or healer or whomever else then we've killed two innocents... exactly what we're trying to avoid by not lynching Kivam and mn. Its not a help and not fair to the game.

If they are in communication, which I suspect they are, then Kivam contradicted himself when he said that she must be innocent because "if she were mafia, someone would have coached her not to say that."  If they are in communication, then why didn't he coach her into not saying that?

Kiv, what gives on that?  You made a good point about mnwhiterose's mafia team not letting her talk herself into a hole, but if you can communicate with her, then why didn't YOU coach her?

 

I'm not sure about this lynch anymore.  I was one of the first on it, for the "buddying up" reason, but now I'm not on board.....this just doesn't smell right.

I was working and checking in on two other mafia games, and didn't check in here until it was too late.  Believe me, I would have, if I'd seen the meltdown on time  ;D

That said, a quick google of "starbucks" and BSG leads me to believe Mynd is innocent.

 

Since there's only one other candidate at this point, and my unvote will still leave Mynd with enough votes to avoid a random lynch:

Wow, that is one long read to catch up on.

 

I'm pretty certain that my two cents will not change anything this late in the day, but what the hell?

 

One one hand, Mynd's loud, screaming protests and hints regarding overpriced, yet oh-so-good, coffee could be construed as an attempt to stave off suspicion by pointing everybody somewhere else.  On the other hand, it could be genuine.  Now, based on my very limited knowledge of the BSG universe (I only ever watched about 4 episodes, and all of them were the original series from the 80's), Mynd's hints seem to be suggesting innocence.  Kind of a bummer, too; if it wasn't for the fact that I'd rather not be killed in my bed, I love seeing an innocent suffer as much as the next guy.

 

Basically, I'm staying away from Mynd for the present.

 

Kivam is just Kivam, which means that I almost have to vote for him on principle, the dirty, dirty staffer guy who outranks me...

 

Seriously, though, I'm inclined to agree with the crowd in that potentially losing two innocents is not a good thing.  Once again, though, he could just be saying this to save his own butt.

 

I'm too tired to think beyond all that, though, so I'm going to go with my old stand-by and vote for Jason our so-called Lord and Master. :P

I would unvote right now, except that there is no possible majority I can put on anyone else in 7 minutes. However, I have just re-read the entire thread and don't think Mynd should die, the only reason I'm not unvoting is so we don't get a random lynch.

 

That said, I think Dsage is our mystery voter. I also think he's been all over the place, which makes me very uncomfortable about him. He should be the next person for us to look at.

Starbuck sat near a door, her back to the wall, trying to act nonchalant as she played cards. Her head wasn’t really in the game though, murderers were out there and anyone could be next. She didn’t like the plan they all came up with, too much room for the perpetrators to kill innocent people but she grudgingly accepted it. They had to do something.

 

Sighing, Kara flipped a card when the lights suddenly flipped off. She couldn’t suppress an uneasy tingle that swept down her spine and spread goosebumps on her arms. They had come to a decision; a majority was reached.. The room went silent immediately.

 

“We think you have lived up to the prophecy Starbuck, you have become the Harbinger of Death.” A multitude of voices echoed whoever was speaking. Kara stiffened, sliding her gun out soundlessly. They were going to kill her? It was unthinkable!

 

Hands seized her, wrestling the gun from her hands even as Starbuck struggled, kicking and punching anyone close enough. They twisted her arms behind her back and bound her, shoving a makeshift blind over her eyes as a gun pressed against her spine. They marched her to the nearest airlock.

 

“You guys are making a mistake!” Kara shouted furiously, “I am HUMAN!!!”

 

The door slammed shut and someone pressed on the button that released Starbuck into space.

 

Mynd an Innocent Human and the Harbinger of Death has been lynched. Night will end in 48 hours at 6 pm PST on July 9th. Get all night actions in to me by then or forfeit!
