I saw that there was a thread like this for the Wii and the 360 but not one for the Playstation 3. And Barm gave me the greatest idea! I couldn't have come up with it on my own because...I'm not that smart. O.e

 

But here it is, the thread for Playstation 3 lovers! I'd like to start if off by saying Valkyria Chronicles which is exclusively for the PS3 is a wonderful game. That is all.  ;D

 

May the Seanchan take this thread and do with it what they will. In the name of Playstation!

I'm jealous of PS3 owners for a few reasons

 

1.  Drakes Fortune

 

2. Infamous

 

3.  God of War 3

 

4. Fallout 2

InFAMOUS wasn't a bad game, Sure, theres better out there, but really, how can you not find this

fun?

 

MGS4 - Pure undadulterated Awesomeness.

 

Disgaea 3 - My god, this is the kinda game you could play for a year! 8760 hours! Its nearly infinite. To bad my paitience is finite.

 

Uncharted - Its like a freaking movie, and I love that.

 

Resistance 2 - overall gameplay, good, plot? meh. Ending? omfg. ;)

MGS4 - So epic it hurts my brain

Assassin's Creed - I really liked this, don't know what's with the hate

Fallout 3 - YES

Killzone 2 - Pretty damn epic

CoD4 - Even more epic

GTA IV - AWESOME

Guitar Hero 3 - Wheee!

Fifa 09 - I friggin' love this

The Orange Box - Good times for all

 

Games I owned previously

Skate - lots of fun, but I tired of it

Mirror's edge - fun for a while, but tired of it

 

Only thing that bugs me about this console is the lack of DLC for fallout and gtaIV : p

 

I loved uncharted, never really cared for Resistance

The only PS3 exclusive game I really liked is Drake's Fortune, that game was fun and cinematic.

Fallout 2? O.e If you mean Fallout 3 then lemme tell yah...you can get it on the 360 as well.  ;D

 

It's kinda sad though, I mainly use my PS3 to play DVDs...sometimes I use it to play PS1 and PS2 games but...  :-[ I LOVED Killzone 1 and couldn't wait for the second one to come out and I bought it the day it came out! It sucked though...it was VERY disapointing. Anyone else have an opinion on this game?

 

I own a 360 and a PS3 and the only games I want that are PS3 are...Valkyria Chronicles, Drakes Forture, God of War 3 and MGS4. And yeah Drakes Fortune is like a movie...in a GOOD way. I rented all those games that I just listed, except GoW3 of course, and the best one has to be...MGS4: I loved this game! I got stuck on the vampire guy though and I almost cried once because I didn't know what to do and it was so hard... :'(

 

And I heard that InFAMOUS was a good game...I'll have to try it out the next time I get the chance.

Oh okay...that makes more sense. What did you like about the first one? I think that Killzone 2 has WAY too good graphics which is actually a bad thing when it comes to multiplayer. The campaign is also short, but somewhat entertaining. Plus...no two player that I can remember.  :'(

The main problem with killzone 2, is they tried to make you 'care' about the people getting cared. The problem is, we don't care about those assholes. :P

You could look for one at a local Pawn Shop. The one near me is selling a PS3 for just over $200 I think...

Lol the pawn shop is now out of PS3's.

 

And yeah. Half hour show just to show the entire God of War 3 Demo. I liked the part where he ripped the cyclops eye out and he got drenched in blood. Also...no load screens?! Say what?! Lol

 

This game is going to be beast, I mean...if I can see his sweat glands and muscles flexing in that much detail? Yeah.  :)

And I swear there was one more thing being released sometime within the next couple of months that we are hell bent on gett...

Oh yeah...that's it...Ninja Gaiden II Sigma.  REALLY looking forward to re-playing that one on the PS3.

Oblivion looks 100X better on pc then ps3/360. (runs better to) That is a fact. ;)

Well, unless you got a old pc.

But really, its the mods that make the game. The games roughly 20GB on my HDD. ;)

 

You really, really should check out Uncharted: Drakes Fortune.

Think, Tomb Raider meets Indiana Jones, Starring this guy.

 

It has Assassins Creed climbing system (kinda, you can't climb EVERYTHING, but its easy like it, not like tomb raider aka game of a thousand deaths via falling on your huge knockers.)

It also has smart AI, 3rd person shooting, with a cover system.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2...YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Started playing it last night and love it.  It's excellent that they have added some new playable characters, and some new bosses.  And lucky me...Dale has closeout tonight and won't be home till 8 or 8:30 which means I have the PS3 to myself until then.  I should be half to 3/4 of the way through it by then.  He'll be so pissed!!! ;D

I think that Assassin's Creed II can be the best game ever made. o.O Especially since it's going to get rid of all the bad things that were in the first game, which weren't much but to get rid of them would make the second game really great. I've read about what they're going to do with the game and I seriously can't wait...

 

I can't wait for that plus Dragon Age: Origins, God of War 3, and Uncharted 2. I only have 13 bucks though. >.>

 

I've never played a Ninja Gaiden game, are they really that good?

I'm looking forward to Assassin's Creed II as well.  Should be out soon I believe.  And Yes...IMO...Ninja Gaiden is one of the best ones out there if you can get past the big bouncie tata's all over the place.  The the PS3 version of Ninja Gaiden II I've been playing for the past week or so and it's AWESOME because they added some bosses and made some really hard parts easier on the easy play level but kept them hard on the harder play levels and added some team mission stuff...etc etc etc...the change list from Xbox 360 version to here is pretty amazing.

Yeah AC2 comes out 11/15/09..I have it marked. >.> It's coming out at the same time as a PSP Assassin's Creed that will continue the story of Altair.

 

I've heard it's a good game but that it's also hard...like toss your $50 controller at your $200 TV hard. o.O
