Recast the Movie

Alright, the title says it all. I will name two movies and include a link to their info on IMDB. Your job is to cast them with whom you think would have made a better job of it, or whom you can see in that role. Please be sure to link to their imdb profile, or at least a picture of your choices so that everyone can know whom you are talking about. If there are certain people you wouldn't recast, explain your reasons why.

I wouldn't recast Transformers, there wasn't one actor/character I didn't enjoy thoroughly.

 

I would recast Robert Langdon in Da Vinci Code. 

 

Tom Hanks was a terrible choice.  I would choose either Ewan McGregor or Russell Crowe

I didn't care for Da Vinci Code, so I'll skip that one.

 

I would have recast Michael Bay in Transformers to, say....anybody else.

 

And I would also have Megan Fox play every human character. *nods*

I think recasting robert langdon with ewan mcgregor is a good choice. Anyone in that age range would do for the most part in my opinion. I felt as though they were either trying to make him older, or trying to make Tom Hanks younger--and both things failed.

 

Transformers--I would have definitely recast the cute blonde super smart girl that figures out the problem with the code. It just seemed like they were throwing her in there for eye candy.

Transformers, I didn't really care enough about this movie to make an ok judgement on this. It was a pretty awesome movie, action wise, and I felt all the characters simply did their jobs okay. Except Torturro and ... What'shisface. President? They sucked ballsily.

 

And yeah, I always thought of Robert Langdon as a bit more... fit : p

McGregor fits the mold nicely. Thought I want Liam Neeson as everything, since he's pure, distilled awesome. And kinda fits.

Shia, Josh and Megan I am good with.

 

Jon Voight was terrible.  Maybe the imagine of him trying to be badass wielding a shotgun is terrible and bad plot that makes his character seem terrible.

 

John Turturro - I love this guy.  Rounders and O Brother shows he has talent.  This movie... it totally negates my opinion of him.  I would not recast, I would totally get rid of this character. 

 

Anthony Anderson, the quirky guy that can rebuild old radios for no purpose.  Again another character I would ax.

 

I would have made this movie about the robots and axed most of the cast.

Ok, I'll give you Jon Voight, I forgot that he was in the movie.  I was too lazy to check imdb.

Not sure if it is technically a recast, but...Remove any actor with more than a cameo apppearance from Transformers. The movie is about wicked awesome robots going viking on eachother, humans should only appear as either running around screaming, or as bodyparts flying in the air.

 

And that Fox-skank should be banished back to whatever trailerpark she came from.
