Alright, this is getting silly.  That sounds WAY too similar to my Dirty Cop game.  Of course, it's quite possible; I just don't see it.  Your word alone, Mynd, means nothing.  I understand you can't reveal too much - that's just part of the game.

You don't have to take my word for anything.  I am just one vote, and if you don't buy what I am saying, then that's your choice.  You cannot ignore DJ's posts as being scummish, though.

 

And flip a coin three times.  The odds of it coming up tails three times in a row are the same as me being mafia in this game.  Now, then flip that same coin at least 6 times in a row.  The odds of it coming up Heads all 6 times are the same as DJ being innocent this game.

Well, it's not exactly 50/50, now is it Mynd?  That was a gross over-simplification.

 

Mynd, as one who claimed Finder so early, I would not talk about scum-ness were I you right now.

In a game where there are multiple finders, claiming to be a Finder is hardly a big deal.  It's almost as crazy as me admitting to be a finder in the Dirty Cops game of all things; however, there are other clues as to me being an innocent.  Clues that only a true innocent would notice.  The fact that none of you have found this Easter Egg suggests that I am among non-innocents. 

 

I know that after the epic win that Hybrid, Cuba, Barm, MCS, and myself pulled off in your Dirty Cops mafia would make me look suspicious.  It is no reason to remain blind to the blatant scumminess that DJ has displayed this early in this game.  I know that people are afraid of me leading them astray, but all I am doing is pointing out what I am surprised no one else but Meesh is agreeing with me on.

Im certain we all have one, because of the theme. Shouldnt make much difference, since you already have claimed.  (wich I find odd, since you have only my vote on you...)

I did get over emotional. But its not the first time. And its not the first time someone gets over emotional in confrontations with Mynd.

 

That is true, but a warning to all last time things got overly personal and confrontational with Mynd was in the Dirty Cops Mafia game where both Mynd and I were scum and pretended to be fighting to distract other players from the fact that we were in fact partners in crime. I am not saying that Either Mynd or Dark Justice (or both) are scum just warmning other players not to take their argument at face value.

DJ and I are most certainly not Mafia together.  It would be ridiculous for me to pull the same stunt here as we did in Dirty Cops Mafia, considering that my mafia cronies are in this game as well.  If anything, he is mafia and overreacted to my posts.  Notice how he just can't tear himself away from the game? 

 

I am normally an easy going young man who can get very excited about trends and gossip, but I think that I may be onto something here about Dark Justice.  All I have done is beat the grass to startle the snakes, and Dark Justice was more than startled.....he got frazzled.  BIG RED FLAG there!

I was just going to ask that, Cubarey.  This seems very much like what I read in the rules.  By the amount of bickering between these two, we have to ask the question: are they both scum, thinking that after one of them is killed, and revealed as Mafia that we won't look to the other.  Of course, this hinges on the question, is one of them a minor mafia member whose job it is be killed?  A sacrificial lamb of sorts (though, can it be a sacrificial lamb if they aren't innocent?)

 

Or, are they playing the part of lovers and having a lovers argument?  Hoping, that we will leave them both alone and concentrate on someone else.

 

Or - is it that Mynd isn't playing, just commenting to throw us off track in red herring fashion, because his name isn't on the list.  Myndwhiner is on the list.....Interesting.

I get what you're trying to say here, but I don't think it means what you think it means. 

 

If you flip a coin three times, the odds of it being tails three times in a row are 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2.  However, that is not the current situation.  The current situation is that the coin has been flipped twice, and has landed tails both times.  So for the final flip, the probability is only 1/2.  In other words, previous flips do not at all influence the probability, only future flips do.

 

To put it another way, the odds of any one of those flips landing tails is a constant 1/2 and not modified at all by the other ones.

 

So... you have the same chance of being mafia as anyone else this game, assuming roles are assigned randomly.

That is why its called probability, not certainty.  It is not certain that I am not mafia again for the third time in a row, but I am probably not.  Conversely, I am not certain that Dark Justice is mafia, but he probably is.  All of this is metagaming, of course, but its no less true.

Guys I did some reading on death note. It looks like that there could be more than one team of cops (yes I said team, likely multiple players in each group) and at least the possibility of a solo cop. There are is also a high likelihood of multiple Kiras (mafia) whose degree of alligence to each other is at least doubtful.  So people PMing even with other people in the game is not necessarily evidence that they are scum (could be cops belonging to same team). Be very careful in your assumptions (even members of the same "team" could have adverse interests.).
