Slicing Cuendillar?

I am wondering if an openning gateway would slice through cuendillar?  Anyone have any thoughts on this?

What if you made a ring or cage or hollow cube of cuendillar then opened a gateway in the center? It can't bounce away if it's being pushed in multiple opposite directions at once.

My guess, the gateway would fail and collapse. Or dance, as they do when two Gateways are opened in the same space.

now that that is done, lets move on to the gateways. what happens if you go thorugh an already open gateway but you are much taller than the gateway and your head would then stick out over it.

Why have I always imagined gateways being used as universal kitchen-knifes?

I have always thought that rotating a gateway to the horizontal 90 degrees and to the vertical 90 degrees would make an awesome weapon. Or just one fine thread of air  pulled out in front of the caster and shot forward.

Not a "deathgate" that continuously rotates. I am talking about pretty much knocking a gateway over like a domino, turning it so the longest side is perpendicular to the direction you are facing and making it as long as possible, not necessarily a gateway, then just shooting it forward like a bullet. It seems to me if you made a thread of air like that, razor sharp, it would take a lot less power energy to make and repeat, than say cut swathes in the enemy with fire. And You could probably make that thread very long.

I am seeing this as something like a trip wire... except instead of tripping you, it severs whatever it comes in contact with.  That would be awesome.

I don't see how it's more awesome than making people explode or burning them with lightning/fireball, but ok whatever floats your boat :p.  for me, a weapon is a weapon. what works, is good.

What is awesome about it is it could potentially wipe out massive amounts of people without wiping you out (exhausting you too much). Imagine an army charging at you and you make that thread 100 paces long from end to end then you put it a foot or so above the ground and shoot it forward. Now you have an army falling towards you as their torsos separate from their legs. Or you could do it at head height, or stomach height, whatever floats your boat.

i have thought about this myself alot, and i think it would be awesome to mass-kill a bunch of shadowspawn with one simple string of air. although iy can only be used while the 2 armys still are at a distance

1st Requires skill at healing, not many people have that, and at distance I don't know if it would be possible.

2nd Once the other army realized that they died after crossing the line, they would stop coming. If it had a delayed effect it wouldn't matter regardless because they would probably die in battle.
