Balwer's Hidden Agenda

I know that Balwer has it in for the Whitecloaks, especially Valda, but, I just feel that there is something else going on there.  It is like an inch between my shoulder blades that I can't reach everytime I think about it.  I have no clue as to what it could be however and it is driving me nuts.  Anybody else have an opinion on this?

He seems to have found his niche as an assistant / spymaster for Perrin who actually appreciates him. I wonder if Morgase will recognize him and spill the beans.

Bawler is the one that helped Morgase escape the Seanchan in Amador. He’s settled in posing as Perrin’s “assistant” while still doing the job well, because that was exactly his original cover working for Niall.

I think he does still have a problem with the Whitecloaks, but mainly Valda and his get. Maybe because of loyalty to Niall personally?

Bawler’s never seemed to be a true follower of the Children’s beliefs, so I think with his loyalty to Perrin, when he finds out Galad is the new head hauncho and that Galad is Morgase’s step son, his position on/interests in the Children will change.

Like Besolyn told, Morgase already recognizes him.

As for spilling the beans, her own identity may become uncovered if she tells about him; and likewise for Balwer if he tells about her.

I think he has known all along that Galad was/is Morgase's step-son.

From what I found out, Balwer knows of Galad killing Valda; I think he might figgure out on his own that Galad would be the new Lord Captain Commander.

Balwer's interests in the Whitecloaks I think has already changed when he rescued Morgase and her companions from the Seanchan; or if not then, when he started work with Perrin/Faile.  If not then, some time in between the two events.

As for position change, the Whitecloaks would need to discover that Balwer switched sides.

*wails* I knew that! *head desk*

Sorry, by "position" I meant attitude not job  ;)

Right now we don't know if his attitude came from being fired or his boss being murdered or what. So how much it'll change I think will depend on that.
