Bryon went into his office and scribbled quickly on a peice of parchment.  He left a copy for his secratry to transcribe more of and took on of his own scribblings and posted it on the annoucement board in the barracks.  In big bold letters it read:

There has been a murder in our very own home.  Stand your ground, be wary of all visitors and do not go outside alone until this person or persons have been brought into custody.  Bring any useful infromation to Kywnric Gaidin.

Bryon backed away from the note and saw that it was plainly visible for anyone to see.  He only hoped it would stall the killer out.  But he doubted it, he could feel this was not the end of it.

Thera paced the length of her office chewing on what was left of her nails. The murders had shaken her to the core and all she could summer was the inexorable desire to find the killer..and now. The sad truth was that unless she managed to learn to go without any sleep it would take more than her alone to solve the crimes.

She looked twice at every face she saw, searching for some sign of guilt. Even her friends, and worst of all Jasine earned a second stare. With lives on the line friends and lovers could not be above suspicion.  Thera’s hand reached for a dagger as her door crept inward. Fool! The killer is hardly likely to walk into my office in the middle of the day! Trying to smile at the young novice who presented her with the note, Thera wiped the worry from her face and murmured a thank you.

Reading the contents she quickly scribbled a return note and sent it off with the young girl. The fact was Thera was scared..she was scared for Jasine, and all her trainees, she was scared for her friends, and she was scared for the Tower. Someone had to put an end to this, and quick.

Jesse was not afraid of death, but these murders were nothing short of shocking.  Tower Guards and Trainees were being killed left and right and there was still no suspect in hand.  No warders were being killed so it had to be an inside job, someone who knew what was going on around here.  Someone had to know something.  Jesse wasn't sure he wanted to get involved in this, the investigation or the worry over it.  It was difficult situation for him right now.  He had alot to do as it was, he didn't need to go chasing murderers on top of it.  Though Jesse liked a good mystery.

Jesse wanted to help but he didn't.  He was at an impass.

Jesse had heard the horrible news.  Audie was dead, but the good thing was they had the murderer in hand, caught red handed.  Jesse was happy about that but sad that the blonde would never get back at her husband.

Jesse sat down at his desk and started writing a letter to her husband.  It wasn't his job, but no one really knew Audie and he had liked the girl.  He wrote honestly and told her what had happened and also why she was here.  He didn't know the whole story, but he wanted him to know that the man didn't know what he had nor that he treated her so badly.

Jesse felt horrible.  He took the letter to the Mistress of Trainees to send to her family.  It wasn't something he really thought she'd send but you never knew.  He then went to the Master at Arms and told him he'd like to help.  The Master at Arms told Jesse that he could stand watch of the prisoner. So for the next few guard shifts until after the trial and the sentence were carried out he would be stting watching a woman who had killed his friend.
