Yeah, hi.

 

I'm pretty much new here, though I've been stalking the forums for the past day or two. Simply put, I'm a hellbent Wheel of Time fanatic. I was one of the "lucky" ones. What do I mean by that? I didn't even know of the Wheel of Time's existence until last year, by which time all 11 books (well, 12 counting ANS) had been published. So instead of suffering the agonizing wait to read them, I simply scooped up the three first, and before I had finished them I had ordered the rest and swallowed them up in a matter of weeks - literally. Needless to say, I was more than extremely sad when I heard Robert Jordan had passed away. I'm aspiring to be a writer, and he was, quite simply put, my idol. I've read the books quite a few times since then - naturally, can't wait for the final one (although I do face the general concept with scepticism, but more on another thread). Anyway.

 

A bit more about me... well, I'm 19 years old, live in Athens in Greece, have been a fanatic reader of fantasy since I was a little brat. Even though my greatest aspiration is to become a writer and leave a legacy such as RJ's Wheel of Time, I'm currently studying computer science in university, which is turning out to be pretty disappointing, really. I am also starting work in a programming company, come Monday.

 

Well... that's pretty much all about the general stuff. You can guess that one of my favorite characters in the WoT is Asmodean, although not my favorite, and my biggest question about the series is who killed him (no, I haven't really found a satisfactory theory as of yet, and none of the ones I've formed are much good either). I might join the Roleplaying some time after I get to know some people around, since text-RPing is one of my favorite internet activities when I get enough free time in my hands (sadly, that's a rather rare occurence as of late).

 

Enough said, off to post now.

I see you are from Greece! That is awesome! Greece is just such a fantastic place. I'm a Classicist (I know Ancient Greek and Latin), and I'm jealous that you have all that history on your doorstep!

 

Have a look around DM and see what it has to offer. It has much, and if you get confused, don't hesitate to ask. We'll be more than happy to help out.

Welcome to Dragonmount, Asmo.  We're always keen to get new writing talent down in the RP section.  And when I say down, I mean down - we're so awesome, they hide us at the bottom to deter people from partying with us ;)
