I think you put a lot of effort into it and you're going to get a lot of people saying stuff like, "Moiraine is too tall" and all that jazz.. but I think it looks pretty nice overall!

Thank you!

I enjoy any comment really :)

Height is one of those things people would have to let go since there's no height scalability in NWN1. There would always be bloopers, inaccuracies and inconsistencies every now and then, even though I try to avoid them as best as I can. It's all a part of the fun of this endeavor really :)

:o Wow! Holy crap!

That's excellent man! Now I'm wishing it was a computer game so I could play the whole series. Are you planning to do the whole series? or just EotW?

As an aspiring artist myself, I must say I'm impressed. Nicely done. I've just started viewing them, and I like the feel the Westwood gives off. I hope some day I can be that good.

Wow--freakishly awesome :).  How long did that take you?

The same question. It looks like it must have been really long.

Anyway, awesome :o

Oh, but IT IS a computer game! ;D Been out for almost 6 years old now, but a timeless classic. In fact, I'm this game No. 1 fan, addict and now visual director. I incorporate a lot custom content though made by the community which is not a part of the original game.

The module I've made for tEotW is not playable (that would take scripting), just visually-intensive. And at the moment only tEotW is on the schedule, although many great other fantasy novels would be included in the project, including an original work hopefully, which will be published with full text.

Thank you very much for your comments! Knowing people and particularly fans of the novel enjoy it is a huge source of inspiration for me.

Viezael, it can take anywhere from 2-8 hours to built a scenery, another 1+ hour to capture the right images, and then the technical editing/uploading/text-inputting process.

Overall it's 3-10 hours for every page depending on the scale of difficulty. Keep in mind, I haven't done any huge battle scenes yet, which may take ever longer, and I have no idea what Jordan, rest in peace, is gonna throw at me.  :)

Back in chapter 2, as I read the words "a milling crowd"... I immediately went "Oh shit..."

Edit: Harmless Bandit, I just read your comment, and thank you! But as you've read my post I'll add to that that I'm sure you're a far better artist than me in that sense, as I have no art skills, I'm simply this game's know-it-all.

NWN1 isn't that complicated ;) (Scripting language is really easy to pick up as well, though just for the purpose of snapping pics it's probably easier to just use the command line.) Area building goes much faster when you're comfortable with where the tiles and placeable templates are in the editor and you have the cast of characters assembled.

But, why not credit to Hugie? http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Movies.Detail&id=417

Well anyway, this is probably the most genuine attempt to present the books through sequential imagery that I've seen. I never got around to looking for the red eagle stuff based on New Spring.

I'm impressed. A few details that I can see that don't exactly fit, but still worthy. Keep up  the good work.

Oh and cybertrolloc, that zip file isn't opening for me. I used 5 different media viewers. As much as I like to look at art and moving pictures about these books, I get kind of intolerant when I click on something that requires me to download more things to view it for whatever reason. Anyway, if you can direct us to a more straightforward way to view this cutscene that would be appreciated.

I can appreciate anyone who spends time on artistic renderings, no matter what medium is used, but if you want that art to be seen, a good idea would be to use a format that is easily viewed by your average person with limited computer literacy.

thanks

I haven't seen Hugie's Dragonmount although I've been aware of it.

Jonn, that "cutscene" can only be viewed from the game. And thank you for the comments again.

OHHHHH...I see. Now I feel awkward. ;)

It would be nice to just be able to see the cutscene recorded then.

What's a good free video capture software? I can't figure out Fraps for the life of me, but I'll try again when I get back from work...

You will soon see on every page a "notes" link which will address all issues of inaccuracies to placate that matter.

Fraps is just a matter of setting the key bindings. I've never tried the video cap features, and bmp format only for the free version is just annoying.

There's other video capture apps, at least a few free that work ok. Maybe creep around the NWN Machina community and see what other groups use? I.e. http://www.bloodspell.com/

Epic stuff! I've been playing NWN for a long time, and done some building myself. I know that must have taken hours! NWN Toolset isn't always your best buddy. ;)

Thank you all! I'm really overjoyed with the comments. I'll definitely add some tEotW updates throughout the following week (putting some Hobbit stuff atm ;) ). Glad to know you've played NWN elmis! It's the best game on the face of the earth. ;D

About Hugie's Dragonmount clip - Fraps unregistered is just a pain in the ass, mainly because they leave the files uncompressed so it's basically 300 MB to every 30 seconds, and it's 37$ registration, so I've given up on that for now.
