If you really think the thousands of family's who lost loved ones to Seanchan collars are just going to let the Seanchan stay you are gravely mistaken.......I don't think many of the soldiers are going to stay pretty loyal with loved ones in Seandaer either

Apparently they will not have much of a choice. Nicolas Foretelling: The lion sword, the dedicated spear, she who sees beyond. Three on the boat, and he who is dead yet lives. The great battle done, but the world not done with battle. The land divided by the return, and the guardians balance out the servants. The future teeters on the edge of a blade

Having the Seanchan sail back home does not quite make the land divided...

Not to mention what the Aelfinn (sp?) told Rand when he went through the ter'angreal doorway in Tear; Rand would essentially divide the land in two between North and South - or Northwest and southeast or whatever - and given the lands that are in the hands of Rand and the Seanchan, it seems likely this means that land will split the lands between what he holds and what the Seanchan hold/will hold.

Plus, if Semirhage is to be believed (which is admittedly not that likely), Seandar is in a state of anarchy, and Tuon has ambitions of ruling Randland. I think if she had a choice to regain control of Seanchan or to abandon it in favor of Randland, she would choose the latter.

Personally, I do believe Semirhage.  It fits with her orders, and her personality.  And I think that Tuon will eventually leave Randland to reconquer Seanchan, with Mat.  I think that was going to be the subject of the "outrigger" novels.  But Tuon is definitely not going to leave before Tarmon Gai'don is settled, and even when she does leave, she's not going to relinquish all the claims that the Seanchan have on this side of the ocean.  There are simply too many Seanchan already there.  The lands they have already conquered, they will almost certainly keep.

Aside from which, the Westlands freankly benefit from the Return. As things change nations can barely inhabit their claimed lands, much less the vast tracks of unclaimed land. With the drive for Seanchan imperialism smashed (which i believe it will be post-TG) and the issues with slavery and the damane being brought into the open by the likes of Bethamin, Seta and that sul'dam Elayne is sending back to Seanchan.... I don't think the Seanchan are going anywhere--though i do believe as Robert does, that the outrigger novel was to involve Tuon reclaiming Seanchan.

Those thousands of families arn't happy about it now. I don't think their happiness much concerns the Seanchan, nor will it have the force nessasary to displace them. There is no room here for people to 'let' the Seanchan stay.

Aside from which between the revelations about sul'dam and being forced to fight alongside free marath'damane I see the institution of the sul'dam coming under attack in the next few years.

The Crystal Throne is a ter'angreal that makes anyone who stands in its presence feel a sense of awe for the person sitting on it.  It probably uses an effect similar to a light form of Compulsion, and I imagine that Rand would be immune to it just by seizing saidin.  It can be defended against, of course, or Semirhage would never have been able to kill Radhanan and her entire household.

I sincerely doubt, however, that Rand will ever go to Seanchan again in the course of the main story.

I just get a feeling that it does more, but perhaps it only works when a man who can channel is sitting on it (or perhaps only when the Dragon is on it). It's only a hunch.

who knows??? Maybe Moridin had thousands of trollocs sent to the Blight over there and when TG comes he'll conquer Seanchan. I really want Mat and perrin and Rand to be together at the last battle and then when Rand dies they';; stand over his body and it'll be all sad.

Or they aren't there when he is killed and when they find out it's really sad and then the book ends with elayne, tuon, min, and avienhda giving birth to their kids.

and dont even mention the "rand is gonna die" cause im sick of it. just admit it people...HE GONNA #$@#@^!@ DIE

"To live, you must die." "He who is dead yet lives."

Of course he's going to die, but he's also going to live.

Of course, you WOULD want him dead, wouldn't you, being the Great Lord the Dark One and all...
