Everybody turns to Dsage. The cross is lifted. He is fine.

 

But there is a strange noise coming from outside....

The windows to the pub shatter inward as the two beasts that have been tracking you spring inside. The first one lands right next to bcxanth and rips his throat out. His dead body lay on the floor. The beasts round on the rest of the group and crouch, ready to spring and spread carnage. The Admiral reaches inside of his coat...

Oh heck, since BCX is now dead, sorry about that.

Admiral, how do we kill these things?  Are they vampires or something else?

"Back away from them now!"

A crossbow pistol appears in his hand. He levels it towards the beast closest to him and fires. The bolt strikes the creature in the chest, but does not sink in far enough. The beast roars, tearing the bolt out and throwing it across the room.

"But it was blessed silver..."

A clawed hand tears The Admiral's throat out. His body slumps to the floor. The Admiral is dead.

The two creatures are still very much alive.

Next to the Admira's out flung arm, you see his journal.

His words float back into your mind "We must see this into the proper hands at all costs".

You notice that the creature is looking at it as well.

The creature twists it's maw into what can only be described as a smile. It grabs the journal and leaps back into the street, followed closely by it's companion.

"Let's get out of this place."

All agree, and the group heads back into the street. You go in the opposite direction that the creatures too.
