Hmmm...interesting. This might mean that the film had a US release during 1983, with an international release the year or two prior.

 

If this is correct, we've just narrowed down the choices drastically. I think, at the very least, we can safely deduce from this that it is a foreign film (to US audiences). Someone correct me if you think this isn't accurate.

It is a live action comedy that came out anywhere from 1982-1987. Did not win awards. Does not include Kevin Bacon. Probably was not originally released in English.
