But, had that game not fallen victim to No Export For You, the character might have received slightly less stupid a name.

The main character was just as bad, I recall. At least the two bad names were the two renamable ones. I think I actually enjoyed the game more before I got the English patch though.

Mm, well, I can't speak Japanese, so even if I could read the kana, it wouldn't do me much good beyond names. It's one thing playing Pokemon games in Japanese when you don't know the language, it's quite another to play a game that you isn't identical in structure to a dozen others.

I just memorized what each position in the menu did. The whole thing was like Final Fantasy Tactics, except better.

Erngh, I could never really stand those kinds of games, they move so slowly. I've gotten to the point where I can barely stand traditional turn-based RPGs.

I thin they aren't too bad, slower but you still need to figure out what you plan to do. And it makes it easier to get something to eat and leave it on your player

I prefer more direct control, action-oriented stuff. Probably why I'm more into Kingdom Hearts and why I've been getting into Dissidia so much (the other part would be that stupid accomplishment that requires you to play for 15 consecutive days)

That accomplishment is simple, I played it everyday anyway.

And I have played alot of dissidia but can't get dissidia 12 to work on my PSP since it was modded before I bought it second hand.

I think each control system of turn based or active time battle etc have their advantages and disadvantages.

Yeah, well, I don't always feel like playing it, so I have to remind myself to for that accomplishment. Tomorrow will max it out though. Last night I only remembered at like 10:00, so I loaded it up and trained Garland up a level and then went back to what I was doing before.

 

That bit about slowness is also why I'm going to hate trying to get Garland and most especially Exdeath up to level 100.

Moderate only...Hard is too stressful.

 

That's where I'm headed when I get done here.

 

Air conditioner has my music room just about cooled down.

 

Wifey is already ticked so a few more hours can't hurt... ... maybe.

 

It's really not an obsession...just boredom...same as beating games 1 through 13,049 in Free Cell...tonight will be 13,050.

 

Long three day weekend.

 

Everyone else in the state is camping in the rain.

 

I'm home.

 

Wife is recovering nicely from her heart attack and stint last week but now we're staying home.

 

Going to WalMart was a tiring task.

 

A few weeks of cardiac rehab and she'll be ornery as ever back to her old self.

 

No permanent damage...Plavix for a year and aspirin for life...and good diet and exercise...yeah, right.

I am glad that your wife will be well. Too many people have been getting sick lately... so sad.

 

How is it unsolvable?

Man I don't know I've never tried, Wikipedia just says every one of the first 30,000 Freecell games has been proved winnable except that one.

You probably have to cheat or something. People always forget to cheat.

It's Freecell, it's not like there are Gameshark codes.

Rey rey you only need to get one up to 100 for the achievement.

On the level is get all characters to lv50

I know; I've already gotten Zidane up to 100. Doesn't mean I'm not still going to try and get everyone there. Plus you have to get Golbez and Exdeath to 100 to unlock secret voice clips for them if you want to complete the Museum. And anyway, you have to keep levelling everyone up to keep unlocking stuff in the shop, which there's an accomplishment for completing, and I can't find anything anywhere that tells me what gets unlocked by who reaching what level.

Garland has some tools at least, but Exdeath is a pain to level up. Good for leveling up other characters though

Either I accidentally skipped over that one or I beat it because now I'm on 13,054. I'll try it again just to be sure.

And actually one of the last accomplishments does require all characters at level 100, so that theory's out.

 

But oh man, I spent some time today getting Exdeath up to like level 16 or so and MY GOD do I hate playing as him.

I got him to 50 and am trying to beat Chaos lvl 110. hate him so much.

I looked at the achievments and the only one I saw like that was 'on the level' which is to lvl 50. I got ihm upto there and stopped.

I think it's one of the last few, the ones that don't actually tell you outright what you have to do.

 

I think I'll give Inward Chaos a shot once I finished levelling up Squall; he's at 90 now. Zidane just can't do enough bravery damage, but Squall tears it away like crepe paper.
