“Oh hell, this is a bad idea” The captain of the guard is less than excited to go back for Hax. But then, he has not been through this entire ordeal with him. You ignore him and head back through the jungle. You come to a spot where the trees above are so tall and thick that they cut off enough light to prevent anything else from growing, and you can see fifty yards or so across the clearing.  And you can clearly make out seven other foreign men. They are holding leashes to five of the beasts. There are also three women who hold closed fists out and above their heads. You guess that they must be singers. You look side to side. You have nine witches left, twelve Hall guard and the seven of you, even if Barm is using his good arm to hold up a limping Minister.  Your odds are good. Until the lead Sendekian shouts, “They are here! Gather to me, they are here!” The jungle around them comes alive as multiple men, beasts, and singers come forth. Ten minutes later, they are like a horseshoe around you. There must be over a hundred, men, beasts and singers all together. Barm mutters in dead pan voiece, “This is really not good.”

Ennora speaks, surprising all of you.

“Proud huntsmen of Sendek, we honor you as warriors and welcome your hunt!”

Whoa??!! You definitely do not welcome them or their hunt!

“But your hunt has ended, and it is time for you to turn back or face your death.”

A single Sendekian walks forward, a proud warrior, only stopping a few yards away from you.  “Judging from your eyes, you must be one of the pirate’s witches. We had heard you to be a formidable foe. So far we are sorely disappointed.”

“And you captain, are you the leader of the huntsmen?”

    “Of this group, yes.”

“And they follow your commands well?”

    “I won’t dignify that….”

“Then command them. Command them to prepare to die.”

Fine. But if we are going to fight, then atleast we should sent the injured Minister to the back so he is safe.

Yes I am aware of the irony that it was I that injured him in the first place.

Do I still have my powers of questioning?

Nobody can reveal you as the Healer but you or the Finder. It was merely speculation, and his opinion.

And the only reason I went forward, was because Wes explicitly said if we go forward, we must lynch someone, and if we lynch the wrong person, another assassin will spawn, and since we don't have that many people left...*cough*

Hax comes back into consciousness. There are wounds, but he is alive and has feeling in his arms and legs. The beast that carries him stops, scenting the air around him and drops Hax to the ground. A low growl builds in its throat and it crouches. An arrow suddenly appears in its side, buried to the fletching. Then another, and another. The beast howls in pain, springs forwards and dies before it hits the ground. Two pirates step into sight.

“We were looking for you.”  Hax presses up to his hands and knees. “I’m glad you found me.”

    “Can you walk?”

“I think so.” He climbs to his feet, testing his balance. “Yes, but I might be little slow.”

“That’s alright, the group is not far. Let’s go.”

The Sendekian captain smiles, “Do not bluff witch. And know that we do not take prisoners. I have come to offer you a swift death and that is all. You may accept or decline, but there is no point is any other response that you may offer. Come now, stop your foolishness and accept our token of pity. Or, honor your ancestors and gods and offer us some small challenge at least. This choice is yours.”

Ennora raises an eyebrow and smiles back at the captain.  “Some small challenge? Captain, you have badly misjudged the situation.” She holds forward a tiny stone that winks with a ruby light. “Small….” And the captain’s arms fly out as he is lifted into the air, hurtling backwards towards his people. She pushes him and just as he arrives over their heads, his arms, legs and head separate from his body, showering those below him in blood.  Ennora releases the power and the pieces tumble down. She reaches to a locket around her neck and slips it over her head. “Helys, come to me!”

The Admirals daughter comes forward wrapped in witches robes and Ennora places he locket over her head. “We have to part now. The sisters will teach you and in time you will study in the floating cities. Be well child.” She lays a hand softly along Helys’ jaw with a look of regret and love. “I will join your mother and we will watch over you together.” Then she looks at the group. “Run! I will stay with the sisters and hold them off. Go Now!”

The seven witches who called on the Soul Stone step forward, songs already passing from their lips. Their eyes glow in different shades and the power that they are raising is enough to make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Barm shouts. “Run! Now, run! We have to go!”

The group runs straight away from the clearing, away from the huntsmen. The witch’s voices rise to an unnaturally loud level and you hear the rending of large sections of earth being torn apart along with the thunder of massive trees ripped into splinters. You can only imagine the damage they are causing to the Sendekians and their horde. Seconds pass, and then minutes, and still you run. Hax suddenly appears with two more pirates and they join you. Then you bounce off of he ground, lose your footing and go down. The earth beneath you is vibrating wildly, the litter across the jungle floor dancing like grease in a hot skillet. Barm shouts again “Take cover!”

“What are they doing?!”  Your shout can barely be heard over the din.

“They have used the power without shielding it at all! The Sendekians had to have done the same and together they have called Xoc. She knew it was our only chance!”

The air around you takes on an electric charge, the ground beneath you goes still and the air takes on a sickly orange glow. Then everything explodes. Flames rush over you, burning exposed skin and hair. The roar of the bonestone’s power is the loudest thing you have ever heard and is building. The heat is building and the glow slowly turning from blue to white, and then with a massive explosion, everything goes dark and you lose consciousness.

You wake up to the groans of those who were injured. Your eyelashes are glued together with dried blood and you have to tear them away from one another just to open your eyes. The skin on the back of your neck and arms has been singed and you are in good shape compared to some of the others. One by one the group wakes to the smoldering ruins that surround them. You can see that you are on the far edge of the blast radius. Twenty yards in, everything is charred and smoking. The clearing where the witches held the Sendekians glows as if it were a bed of charcoal.  You look back at the others and wonder, how much more can we take?

Those who are less injured help those who are immobile. You do not even bother setting a lookout, as you are sitting ducks to anyone who comes upon you. So far, there ha been no other sign of life. Barm says that the pirates will come for the Minister. Many of them, and will bring more Sisters to help tend to the wounded. You are dazed and wonder when they will arrive.

After some time, the Minister raises his voice loud enough to speak. “We have to finish this. Gather the seven together and let us puzzle this out once and for all.”

"Hold on. What just happeneckkk..." You look down to see that you've just vomited blood all over yourself.

    "Dear God!"

"If they don't find us soon, we won't make it."

Barm shakes his head, half of his face soot covered and scorched. "They won't come to us until after dark."

"But you said they were on the way for the Minister!"

"They are. But they won't make targets out of themselves for no reason."

"Well, what if we can't hold on? Some of are in pretty bad shape!"

"Then you had better make peace with whomever you pray too, I guess."

    You pass back nto unconsciousness.

* YOU HAVE 12 HOURS TO VOTE TO LYNCH AND GO TO NIGHT. NIGHT WILL BRING RESCUE. IF YOU MISS THE DEADLINE A RANDOMLY CHOSEN PLAYER WILL DIE. AT THAT POINT YOU WILL HAVE ANOTHER 12 HOUR DEADLINE. IF MISSED, ANOTHER PLAYER WILL DIE, AND SO ON. *

Alright kids, it's time to make some deductions.

Loki:

and vemy if we get the black bonestone thenwe can keep it for safe keeping before an evil gets it
Erm. WRONG. The bonestone should have been given to either Barm, Kivam, or Danya for safekeeping, as they were confirmed innocents at that point. Neither you are Vem were confirmed, and so to keep it would only make you look more guilty.

i was under the impresion that griefys corpse would have been pretty cold by the time the bonestone got used ..no?
Here Loki picks up before anyone else that Griefy did not actually use the black bonestone.

...one of the people still with us used it
Hmmm…interesting. Since Vemy was thiefing everyone, and the only people we were sure had bonestone (which were confirmed innocents, btw) either ‘fessed up to having bonestone or were outed (hehe, sorry Kivam), we now know that it was probably a thief who used the bonestone.

vemy..your just a little late on that count

however, i think the admiral has a bold style and i like that so minister ..wow look at that funky frog

also vemy im starting to think that your the one thats evil now, you thinking me evil is quite a turn around for 'loki being loki', and without any reasoning either ect ect so forth you smell bad ..so actually vemy

Okay, it has been presumed for the entire game (and even now), that the Minister is the good guy in this scenario. Again, apart from Loki stirring up the pot, why would one actually make a useless vote? We know that nobody else is going to vote the Minister at this point. And then in the next breath he places a vote on Vemy. Wha???

furthermore .why would i night kill kivam, that waaaaay to unoriginal,  and seeing as you have a well known awe for kivys play then it would make sence that you would night kill him if you happened to be playing against him..also you were around when the night kill happened, hmm very interesting
Kivam was the next to die because not only was he confirmed, you knew that the Healer would be protecting either themselves, or the Finder (more likely). Kivam stood wide open for the night kill, and it wasn’t prudent to risk not having a successful nightkill by attempting to kill the finder (the ideal person on your list).

the best way to delay is to 'help', and that way you look most innocent..and if you didnt take the danya thing as a very obvious joke, then its really very pointless you trying to deduce the solution to the curse anyway, also not only have you started a lynch on the admiral who, has been more or less virtually confirmed innocent, and for which i couldnt see the point, im finding that either your fault logic 'we must lynch the admiral, loki is evil' is dangerous to other innocents or you have and ulterior motive to trying to look like you good and not fade in to the backround ie your evil, so either way i see it it would be win win for the innocents.
See, I disagree. I think that since time is going to pass whether you help or not, you may as well be useful, than sit in the shadows and be completely useless. It’s also the best way to avoid a nightkill, since scum generally stay away from the loud ones that people could figure out who could be threatened by the things they say. I don’t see how Vemy could have been delaying anything, because no matter how much he posts, people are still responsible for their own votes, not Vemy. And since we now know that Vemy is innocent, we can deduce that you were feeling rather threatened in this situation.

the way a look at it, is the quicker we lynch the less chance of having the game actions sprung on us and randomers getting killed, and the fact that the curse is fun, its i nice test of our mafia deduction skills
What you call mafia deduction skills, I call closing my eyes and choosing at random, which was basically the situation we were in at the time. :P

if i were evil then kivam would still be alive cloud, seeing as i would have attempted to kill someone other than kivam, ie aim for the healer, which for some reason the current assasin hasn't..hmm with the  all of the players to choose from, excepting danya  for obvious reasons, why go for kivam...were they afraid of him maybe?
See comment above.

hmmm i didnt think about that, seeing is danya is still around and with out her then the healer role is just a little pointless
The Healer role is never pointless. If the Healer isn’t healing the Finder, it is much easier to predict who the assassin is going to go for, especially since there are so few people left in the game. And also—the assassin isn’t going to want to kill the Healer, because if they die, and the Healer gets turned by the bonestone next, we have an assassin healer, and that is bad for the good guys.

unless i get findered, which i would wholeheartedly suggest to danya, seeing as this evil likes killing roleless innocents..hehe you really want me to post after you dont you
The evil likes killing confirmed innocents—there is a difference.

ok..whole new post grr that was a work of art. im sorry vemy about this..i was actually starting to think..well yeh..anyway, i guess your going to help more this way

hehe i guess that last post by wes also proclaims me innocent ..since i happend to choose to be evil
I don’t understand what he meant here. But I felt it prudent to quote because it’s discussing something important.

Conclusion: Things we know: 1. He is NOT the Healer. 2. He is a Thief.  3. He used the Orange Bonestone to off Vemy, an innocent. For my part, I find it highly suspect that he brought up the fact that the black stone was used by someone in the group—something that didn’t even cross my mind. I find it weird that just before he mentions someone else used the bonestone he said that instead of passing the stone if he found it, he would keep it. He’s voted the Minister, defended the Admiral, and insists that he would never kill Kivam, that he would instead go for the Healer, which was at that point, a one in three shot. The fact that he would discuss who he would kill at all is weird, but Loki is weird… ;)

Hax v2.0

So we're lynching Vemynal?

I kinda want to lynch Loki... Don't really know why. Vemy definately makes more sense, it's just that I get a bad vibe from Loki. ^^

I'm probably just imagining things. Let's kill Vemy!

That PM spooked me. I'm afraid of saying anything now.

Yeah, same thing with me Far. She also said what alignment the Admiral and Minister had. What sucks now, is that we probably have no confirmed innocents anymore. =/

I think we got the same PM, Far. I also said I'd stay with the Minister/Innocent. It just didn't make sense to change sides, because in my eyes it seemed like we were winning.

Didn't the Godfather have the ability to recruit people as assassins? He died early, though.

Yeah, I think the Admiral needs to go. Too sneaky.

Hehe, Unvote: Admiral.

Silent but deadly type? I like that. Makes me sound badass.

I'll vote Loki for now, but will probably change it to Vem if Loki doesn't get a majority before we're close to the deadline.

Well, we have to break the curse which means we have to lynch someone soon. I'll change my vote to Vemynal.

Oooh, this is exciting. If you save me Barm, I'll totally join your fanclub.

It's early in the morning, so I'll probably have to re-read the last pages before I understand anything, but who revealed me as the Healer?
Again, the only person who can reveal someone is the Finder, and she hasn’t had an action since she got that great bonestone. Hax being Healer is pure speculation, though I get the feeling in his post that he is confirming said speculation…since he could have just said… “Wha? I’m not the Healer…” if he wasn’t the Healer.

Conclusion. This is all he has posted since the last case I did a long, long time ago. This is either really good, or really bad. If he is the Healer, then he has left himself wide open. If he isn’t the Healer, then he is evil, for he has now insinuated that he is, and the actual Healer could come forth and refute his claim—which could also be the ultimate plan. Either way, I think Hax has shot himself in the foot, so to speak.

Why, Danya? Were you allowed an action, or are you just going by your gut?

Well that is good enough for me.  :D

Lol at all of you who thought he was Healer. Silly Hobbitses.  :P *points and laughs* ;)

Well, why didn't you say so? :P

[glow=red,2,300]Unvote[/glow].

So, now I'm finding Far a bit suspicious (though I guess you've viewed her as well, and she came out innocent). She thinks I'm the Healer, but gives me the vote anyway. Take it easy, I'm not voting for you. Just saying. =)

Posted

*edit..grr do you have to post so fast :P * also..since we are to assume the healer and finder, (most importanly the former for the moment here) was one of either FDM or hax, seeing as excluding me you guys are the last two unroled players, and from FDM's post she doesnt seem to be claiming findership, where as hax does, kinda..im not sure about that though.. then im, going to have to go for [glow=red,2,300]FDM[/glow]

hehe funnily enough she was who i was going to go for when i was evil, how the times change huh

Posted

Wait... The Healer was either me or Far?

Damn... I should pay more attention.

>.>

Ok, so there are two people who can be the Healer, and when you're voting for one of us you either lynch the Healer or the other person. If we're lucky and don't lynch the Healer, the assassins will know who the Healer is. If both us are alive at night, there's a bigger chance they'll pick the wrong one.

I vote for the [glow=red,2,300]Minister[/glow].
