Have any of you ever played 20 questions? If you want to have any hope of getting to the right question, you have to start broad, not specific.  It's getting close to nighttime here, and since tonight is the start of the fast of the ninth of av (commemorating the destruction of the temple), I'll be absent for a little while today.  So my advice is - wait for barm to answer my questions, or think of some broad ones of your own, and narrow down from there.

I tried that Kivam, and he said that broad/vague questions would only get broad/vague answers. He said he would not give hints, he would only give us the info if we asked the right question.

FDM: Vague in the sense of Yes or No I can answer. Vague in the sense of asking for all the info I have on a topic are not going to get you anything. Sorry, I should have been more clear.

Does the information have to do with a specific player? I think so yes, but I don't know.

 

Does the information suggest that if we follow the course that I've laid out - lynch an unknown, finder an unknown, lather rinse repeat - we will lose the game? Your strategy seems sound. I have no evidence that will say otherwise.

 

Barm, where are you? At my computer, I was out getting the new HP book. In the game I don't know where I am, based on Wes's story, I'm certain that I'm not with you, however I may be wrong.

    The man that spoke to you last evening saunters back into the cavern. He speaks quietly with a couple of guards and then stands before you, fists on his hips in a mocking stance.

    “I don’t suppose you have managed to vote someone to the lynch yet, eh? Maybe you failed to be impressed by my pets last night. Perhaps you need a closer look.” He looks back at the group of guards. “Choose three of them and throw them down. They won’t climb up and if they swim out the sharks will get them.”

    The guards hesitate for a moment and head over to where Kivam, Far, and Hax have been chained. They reach up to unlock the shackles.

    The Admiral walks quickly into the cavern and towards the man that just spoke. The man smiles and nods. The Admiral pulls a thick bladed knife from behind his back and punches it through the man’s stomach. He lifts the man off of his feet with one hand around his neck and launches him into the pit. The Admiral mocks him from above.

    “The Myshir Trept only eat live pray Esteban. So if you have any sense, you’ll rip that wound open and bleed out before sundown. If not, you’ll be the main course tonight. Or you could always swim out to the sharks. Imbecile.”

    The Admiral looks to the man that must be next in rank. “Where is the girl!” He slaps the man twice. “WHERE IS THE GIRL!” The man just stares back from behind a look of shock. In the next instant a crimson line bubbles across his throat and you register that the Admirals arm just finished whipping the dagger across it. He joins Esteban in the pit. The Admiral stalks towards the group, straight towards Jackdaw. He brings back the arm holding the knife and punches it up underneath his chin, into his head.

 

* JACKDAW, AN ASSASSIN, IS DEAD*

 

    He wipes the blood off on Jackdaw’s shirt as the body hangs limp in the chains that hold his wrists. “We’ve had a change in plans.” He points to the group of men that were about to throw the others into the pit just a moment ago. “Unchain them, clean them up and separate them. Find me when they are ready to be questioned.”

How many assassins are in this game?  We've no had 4 dead - with us lynching 1 and only 1 of them - and we're still going.  That means we have at least 1 assassin in the group of FDM, Loki, Vemy and Griefy, with Griefy being the least likely actual assassin and FDM being the only one whose name doesn't end in an "Ee" sound (cue bouncing sesame street ball . . . one of these things just doesn't belong here . . . )

Guys...what if, just what *IF* there are 6 assassins total at the beginning...

Now heres my question (no complaint at the results though^^)- We still had 24 hours before a random death... wtf?

 

Was that the foretold random death that would occur? Does the group still need to rush for a lynch?

There aren't two evils left, for I am innocent. Unless the Admiral has an evil alignment...which I'm not sure about.  And we aren't sure of your alignment either dear, because you haven't been checked. You just seem innocent, and you are a thief, so we are hanging onto you for the time being . ;)

 

At this point, my plan is to vote on Loki. I've cased him, there is weirdness. And he threw a random vote my way just awhile ago. Needless to say Barm & Alys don't think Vemy is a good candidate for lynching. The only other person that leaves is Griefy. She got an innocent finding, but if there is a symp role (and it was never mentioned), she would come up innocent anyway.

And when I saw that I was on deck to be killed, I can't tell you what I was feeling...palpitations man...

 

I would be most happy if Danya checked me tonight. An innocent finding of me would most likely point to Loki being evil, and vice versa--- so ultimately I guess it doesn't matter  :P. And we still are unaware of who our healer is...we don't want to make any mistakes. I think we need to think this through a little.  :-\

Yep, no ones sure about my alignment cept myself. All you have to go on are what your gut tells you. Kivam knows I told the truth about one thing but in no way does that one thing actually prove innocence, it merely assists the good team.

 

you need to bold Loki's name FDM, and honestly I think your right. i admit I don't want to die myself and that may be twisting my judgment here, but your case was an interesting read to say the least...

I agree, you've been a *LOT* of help to the innocent team. But I'm still worried about your alignment. Honestly I'm more suspicious of you FDM then loki but it would also be a bigger loss to lose you then me or loki. So yes, we should view you tonight.

Both she and Loki have been acting weird, but I know that Loki is Loki, and I'm inclined to put much of what I've seen down to that. Vem I don't know so well, and there's been an air of franticness about Vem's posts for a while now. Maybe not, but that's definitely the impression I get.

In any event whether its me or loki who dies its not too important. Because if one of us is evil then great we win. If one of us is good then tomorrow FDM is viewed and if shes evil we kill her and win. If shes good then we kill Loki and win. Since there are is 1 or 2 murderers left and only 3 unknowns left with 11 players total that means we have this game in the bag.
