voting Kat currently because her earlygame was hyperfocused on people being suspicious of her and really hasnt done much else ... considering how frustrated she was not being able to post in the previous game as a villager I have problems seeing her completely apathetic to this d1 besides reacting to pressure on her

she also had some annoyed reactionary posts that reminded me how she acted as a wolf in the one game I remember seeing her wolf, though I don't even remember the game. It was the only where I troll-subbed in her for her late bc she didnt want to play it out, I think Taimon Gaiden? I remember her getting very flustered & frustrated being pressured there. I think Zander and a few other people were in that game if they want to comment on it

 

I'd go dig through it, but considering we have no ISO features and how slow the board loads pages for me I'm not going to spend the time. MU has spoiled me XD

 

But that's my best guess, I'm interested in what you guys think and openminded

I've specced DPR as a wolf twice and both times he went deep enough to get a good overall view of his behavior. He reminds me a lot of the Clov/Yates types; analytical players that are strong at defending themselves and good at winning logical / rational arguments, or at least browbeating their competition hard enough that it doesn't matter if they've won or lost.

The times I've seen him as a villager, there's a lot more paranoia and specifically reaching out when not being prompted by other players to do so. So far I haven't seen it, I mostly saw him playing casually and doing stuff similar to what he did in Darthe's game as w. But I'm not sure it's a particularly relevant tell, just don't think he's been [villagery].

 

The reasons I don't like telling people what I expect them to do in each role like 24 hours into a game should be obvious, and why I wanted to see what he'd do of his own volition, but he's pretty much just decided to focus specifically on me and trying to argue with me on his logic and rational grounds which is silly to me since I'm a highly illogical and chaotic player and mostly make reads thru intuition XD

 

But I do not like the focus there. I get Darthe thinks maybe he will "prove himself" or something if I continue it, but frankly it's just unenjoyable for me lol and I play this game mostly to try and have a good time. And lots of times I see good wolves hide in the same repeated argument ad nauseum cause its an easy way to look like you are participating w/o having to think independently and introduce new ideas

 

I think I can add to this and maybe clear up a few things up so that they don't continue to distract.

 

All of Cory's observations in the first 3 paragraphs are fair. No worries there - he's very good at what he does and his mechanical track record is not in question. 

 

The fourth and fifth paragraphs deviate from a game discussion into personal preferences. I think this may as easy as a personality type clash - my back goes up right away when I read stuff like "The reason I don't like telling people what I expect them to do in each role like 24 hours into a game should be obvious".

 

I'm going to try a different approach to this than my usual - I think it will save a lot of needless posting/defending/arguing/eyeball strain and groaning. 

 

I will simply point out that I personally don't expect anyone to tell anyone what they expect. I fully accept that Cory probably did not mean this the way that I took it and that it's only my perspective (the narrow perspective of an individual) that leads me to respond in a way that Cory's perspective doesn't jive with. Basically were dealing with a failure to communicate.

 

I think it's a great time to point this out because it's D1 and nobody has any legitimate expectations of solving the game at this point, so we can easily clear the table. 

 

Here's where I'm at - no flair or trying to color anything:

 

1. I posted reads when Niniel asked. To me, that's all a player can do at this point.

 

2. My read on Sociopath is the same - I feel like he's calm and I have zero expectation of him making any contribution toward content because he doesn't know anyone and has no hard info yet. 

 

3. My read on dice has changed. I feel like he went from calm to needlessly ranting about a non-game related point. Granted, I still have drama-trauma from the last game with the emo and the reporting... dice was there and I see his crusade against faux-profanity as a tactic, which means he's pushing an angle, which means he's got my vote.

 

4. Zander has caught my attention for his questions to me, which I quoted and answered, and then asked two questions in return that he never answered. I asked Zander to explain his comments on my reads, and then specifically asked him why he didn't ask me about my then town-lean on dice. 

 

Posting reads and following up on missed details is what I consider to be villagery. Zander hasn't responded to me which feels off because he's posted a lot. It makes me think he either didn't really care about what he was asking, or that he's just avoiding my questions to him.

5. Cory is a concern for me related to the Zander issue. Cory has stated that I haven't done anything villagery and he didn't comment on my questions to Zander and Zander not answering them. 

 

6. Niniel has echoed Cory's statement that I haven't done anything villagery. This is a concern as well. 

 

To be fair, nobody else has asked about Zander not answering my questions either, so I accept that it might just be a me thing. 

 

My vote is still on dice.

Hallia-Hallia is quite involved for D1 something she normally doesn't do as Scum.  Scum!Hally will also taper off as the game progresses.  Only way she's Scum here atp imo is if she's partnered witb Cory. 

 

Cory is obv not an easy read but hes done nothing to ping.  Ive got no real issue with his reads thus far.  Will have a better handle on him after d1 lynch.

 

AJ- UNVOTE AJ - Liked is responses to my push.  He feels like hes actually trying to figure me out which is a good sign. But AJ capable of foolingme d1 for sure.

 

Derf- Were seeing the same things which makes me wanna bamg.my head off  the wall...lol but either my reads and thoughts are way off or were seeing the same stuff.

Dice- Seen him do this stuff as both alignemnts before.  Putting him null for now with a slight lean toward Scum just because i havent seen any of those solid Town!Dice posts yet.

 

DPR- Null to slightly scummy.  Cant read the guy well at all tbqh.  Hated how he seemeed to egg on the whole Dice situation tho.  And seems singlemindedly focused on Cory which isnt necassialry a bad thing but noticable.

 

Kay- has been quite involved but ever sense thw game that cant be mentioned I refuse to trust her....lol.  She seems busy at solving tho both lists were easy lists and the 2nd seemee to kinda just sheeping Cory's

And what you said about FOR makes sense to me.  I'm not gonna quote that whale of a post but it's in line with a time he and I got in a big argument and yeah, he digs in hard and fast.  Heck, I appreciate watching him with you because him with me is exhausting.  All that said, that's not the kind of depth we usually see in D1 anyhow.  A couple of flips in is when I'd expect to see someone feel the need to dig deeper (as I think you know) so I'm not sure what your qualm is during this lighter stage of the game.

Why do I feel like Dice was the winner of this fight? I felt like DPR was just prolonging the discussion by commenting on it in a way that Dice had to talk about it. Which led to a vote in the end. And I certainly don´t get Hallia´s vote and I don´t get why people see her as town. If her reasons had been about the way Dice focused on wrong things to look more active or something like that, it would have been fine. But she got stuck on Dice´s dislike of a word, which she didn´t agree with. That´s not a good reason. 

 

The best post so far about this came from Darthe but I managed to get rid of that quote. This is the first game in a long time where I actually understand Darthe´s posts. I have no idea if that is good or bad.

 

As Cory and Zander has pointed out - Kat got upset by the votes on her. And then she got back to fluff posting. I don´t think it has been anything game related in there. Kaylee comments on non game things all the time but still posts a lot of game thoughts in between.

I think that the only way Scum!Hally is this involved imo is if she's on a team with someone she'd ne excited to play with.   Knowing Hally both from in game and away from Mafia Cory fits that bill imo.  I mean both could be town or just 1 and 1 but it's just how i feel.
