This is why we can’t be on the same team; you never agree with me. Just vote yourself—we both know I’m town.

I thought the cloudfare only happened once each day. This graveyard shift stuff is weird. I’m in the wrong time zone to be awake right now.

So are you implying he's faking it? what benefit would he gain from that?

SET-UP:

There are 7 vanilla town, 2 mafia goons, and 1 mafia symp who knows who the goons are.

The game will play out in the form of a tournament. The faction which wins the tournament wins the game.

On N0, the Mafia goons may fix the round 1 pairings in any manner they like.

On D1, all players will vote to eliminate one of two contenders in each of five match-ups. In the event of a tie, Mafia will win the match-up or else the result will be randomized. Eliminated players will remain in the game and may continue to vote.

If Mafia are not eliminated, the game proceeds to N1. The Mafia goons will choose to eliminated two winners and one loser from the game entirely, and must substitute one loser of their choosing back into the game.

On D2, the three dead players will flip and the remaining 7 players will vote to eliminate one of two contenders in both of the remaining pairings. If the game has not been resolved, there will be a final D3 match to determine the winning faction.

so in the event of a tie if it's v/v it's randomized and if it's w/v the wolf wins?  Also scum doesn't know who the symp is, correct?

Also when you say scum has to substitute back a player on N1, it has to be a townie, correct? Could it potentially be the symp?

And when someone "loses" this phase, their flip isn't posted, I assume? cause they're still in the game with the ability to vote??

No, I'm not implying that he's faking not knowing about cloudflare.

I'm implying that I have a town read on BFG, and I have to make a choice between the two of them. Given that choice, I go with BFG. No offense AJ.

Looks like two of the winners from the head to heads will flip, and one of the losers.

Does that mean it's a good idea to make townies lose? That way we'll only lose one townie, right?

Or does it mean that if we somehow make all three mafia lose on D1, mafia is eliminated and the game is over?

@Shad does the symp count towards scum's number as far as parity goes? Does the symp have to be eliminated for us to win the game if all scum are dead?

Is that decided randomly?

I just want to make sure if this means we essentially have cleared townies with the ability to vote.

I didn't get that from the rules though. My understanding is the flips will happen only if we move to N1 and scum pick two winners to die or something.

Looks like scum decides. So in a way we could manipulate the results some, though I'm not entirely sure what would be the smartest here.

What do you mean about having cleared townies with the ability to vote? My understanding was that three people are removed from the game entirely, but that the others who lost their matches will continue on to the next matches.

I thought scum would kill two winners and one loser from the D1 bracket and then reshuffle D2 for two head to heads.

Yes, my understanding too.
