I don't see a goon not being voted back in

A joke?

No, I think both goons were alive and couldn't be subbed back in

Aquilla is arguing that with a goon dead mafia would risk subbing a possible symp back in over a goon.

This is all moot if LZM doesn't show up and vote.  If he's voting AJ, my vote is irrelevant.  If he's voting Aquilla, then I become the tiebreaker.

If I vote AJ, same thing.  If I vote Aquilla and he doesn't show up, whichever one is scum wins.  I don't like that.

But the bottom brackets were swingy (i.e. they could have gone either way).  Do you see scum setting up a D1 where they could very potentially lose?  I don't.

I've said it's possible, not that it's likely...

I’ll give you swingy but still a better chance than going up against any in the top four, right?

Yes, because mafia can do dumb things and I'm not convinced that it was dumb. It's not the safe play that doesn't make it wrong

I still think the D1 matchups had the scum team.

Then which is more likely? AJ and BFG or Aquilla and SK?

I know my answer.

That supports my theory though - that it was either you/BFG or SK/Aquilla.

I don't think it was Lenlo/LZM - they would have brought SK back and matched up with him for D2 for a guaranteed finals.

I think you’re wrong, flat out. It’s riskier D1 but the matchups are presumably easier than they would be D2. Getting both goons to potentially advance is better because you have more options for setting D2 versus only one.

True, but they had plenty of time to consider the matchups, and had N0 chat to get initial reads from people.  Logic says they would not want to lose D1, that's embarrassing.

lol this is true for d2 more than d1

What are your reads?

Mechanics have a TON to do with this game, so I'd rather discuss how people feel about choices made by the scum team.  That is how I've formed reads all game long.

How so?  You could just bring the lost goon back......

@Verb Initial reads on what? There was no gameplay and no indication of how day 1 would go beyond how people normally play

Why are you harping on my reads?  People were making initial thoughts and light reads during N0, and it could have been indicative of how scum set up the brackets.

Mechanics is a tonne of wifom. If you want to consider it as part of a read then fine, but your lack of consideration of any game play is sketching me out :/

No they weren't. My 'read' on lzm was early day 1, was the first read given and the lack of anything else is precisely why I made that read. N0 was entirely fluff
