Class is finally over, but yall are adding content faster than I can read. Anyone willing to give me a TL;DR summary of the current state of the game? I'm still back on page 10 or so

The majority of the pages are Zander going back and forth with Bop/Spades and Sooh a bit because Bop made a comment about the Penny/Zander slot subbed out because Penny subbed out (the comment was probably in jest.) 

 

They filled twenty pages with that? Dang. Zander has only grown in SPAMpower

Up to page 15, starting to see the discussion about subbing. Thought I'd post my impressions before diving down the rabbit hole 

 

Def liking Spades content-wise so far, although she has an unfortunate tendency to misinterpret my posts. It's ok, we'll get used to each other. Bop I like somewhat less, but that hydra is overall feeling town to me. 

Derf gonna derf. Why that guy consistently feels the need to drop a cryptic, discussion inducing comment and the peace out is beyond me. 

I hope and pray that Cordyx is (are? grammar is hard) town. Not only are they good players, but if they're town I can confidently sheep Clov's read on Edrick. I'm not very good at reading him myself, as history shows.

He was a different player last game. That said, could just be that he is busy so I should retract that sus for now.

How did you get that impression out of just two posts?

 

Also yeah, I was busy and not paying attention to my email, which is how I usually know when games start. I found my role pm about fifteen minutes before flying back to Utah, after which I was exhausted (it being 2:30 am) and crashed until it was time for class this morning. Hopefully I can remedy my absence by staying active and engaged from now on.

The only think bothering me about Z is the defensiveness around me saying he's a wolf. If it was say tomorrow or friday and i had been pushing the line that hes a wolf because alette rather than reading him i'd understand it. But i had repeatedly said i didn't even really think mush of him and he framed it as if my mind was locked in that he was a wolf. I don't know if he's usually defensive at being called a wolf or what but that struck me as interesting.

 

I'd like input from people familiar with zander if he's usually defensive like that or not.

In my experience Zander isn't usually defensive. He's prone to OMGUS sometimes, though, when sussed. I dunno if my two cents help given their lack of timeliness, but w/e

I was trying to say that so far Zander hasn't done anything that I would describe as alignment indicative. I'm not a 100% Zander reader, but usually he becomes really obvious in terms of enthusiasm later on in the game. Might be a bit old meta given RL circumstances atm, but that's the closest I've got for ya.

 

He's also certainly someone I would qualify as "defensive" of his clout in either role, maybe even a tick moreso as a villager. He'll absolutely challenge anyone trying to paint him in a light he feels is not positive. He might have learned that from watching me. 

 

Maybe I just have a different definition of "defensive" lol...

Not a fan of marsh's response to zander calling his catching up post wolfy. Zander was clearly joking imo, and marsh comes off as mildly defensive.

TBH "mildly defensive" describes the entirety of my playstyle. It's what gets me mislynched so often

If you think Zander is not defensive overall, you have not played with Zander.  If you think Zander is not defensive as <an alignment>, you have not played with Zander when he is <that alignment>.  I made a big point about it when I was scum against him in 90's music - I was pushing him as scum early on and highlighted how strange it was that he didn't immediately start scumreading me for doing so.  When he's town, he knows he's town and has a mentality that since he's town and knows he's town and therefore everything is written from a townie POV, his posts should come across as townie.  He's aware of this behavior; it's not a secret.  That means he can mimic it when he's scum.

Ok... I might be biased but that's a kinda weak reason to vote. Except it's D1 and we don't have many stronger reasons. Gonna w/e this but I'll bring it up again if you do this on a different day
