Fredwood: Classical new player until #345. I understand the read on El Barto from someone not used to him. I can also see what he's saying about DP, so good feels in general about that post.
I don't understand who #399 is talking to. Is it to Pizza? I feel like I'm missing context.
From what I see Fredwood is mixing up joke votes with pressure/random votes, which is fine for someone not used to the concept. I still feel pretty good about this ISO, and while I see the defensive that's being brought up I don't think it's unnatural in this case where it's a new player on a new site who's being bugged repeatedly about one misunderstanding. I still have a town lean here.

I'm pretty sure my argument early this game are the same, almost even down to the number of people I was willing to clear on early reads.  And my willingness to lose a lynch that I was sure I'd lose anyway to solve something.  Then after the 4th in that game, everyone just sort of fizzled out.

Dunno, feels pretty similar to this game when I was invested.  The difference is that I didn't have a bit of a tunnel day 1 and didn't have a debate with pizza.

So don't make wall posts cus none of you moths read them, because I've cleared like 4 people already, and have said I'd like to clear a few more but have concerns.

 

I doubt I'll be scum hunting this phase cus you guys are meanies and the last time I scum hunted I was treated like the lady at the Supermarket that starts yelling about the potatoes not being arranged properly.

Almost done the 1st page of your ISO....one thing Ive noticed tho....is no big WoT's and speeches with an associative reads yet tho....

 

So you're saying I'm not funny.  I've joked, haven't joked in a while, but /shrug.

 

Also, you need to be fair, I didn't sub into a deep day phase.  People are prone to WoT when they sub in if they catch up all at once, rarely do they post as they do it like some people.

 

I had two associative reads this game, for very good reasons you're acting like that's all I've been talking about...No one in that game aside from me and Bart had anything coming close to you v Spadesbop day 1, and I don't think anyone undercut another player the way Spades did Darthe, or at least that I remember.

You WoT in both, I find it strange you pick that point to bring up.  I said they were just a little less wordy but where the difference lies is in what you are saying and how you are saying it.

 

Maybe its conf bias but I feel there's def tonal difference between those 2 games.  I'll wait to see what others say in case its just me.

I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of posts. I've tried to go back and read some, but am finding this a game that really does require constant monitoring. I am trying to do what I can, but am feeling like a little kid that just walked in on an executive board meeting. (Offers a cute smile, but quickly hides behind a chair.)

 

In all seriousness though, I have no experience to draw from and so not really sure how to read folks. Still trying to get used to idea of town and mafia. And really don't want to get lynched and a bit nervous about lynching someone else. Town. Mafia. What are you? What am I?

 

Why are we here? Too bad we're not in a box canyon.

 

As to Sailor Moon, I haven't watched the show in ages. Does it matter that I cannot remember a lot of what the show was about? Guessing it's not really relevant to the game, but just curious.

Perhaps Hallia can find you a mentor? I can ask her when she gets home from work. I'm still very new, but my housemate (who is running this game) was my hydra partner my first game so I got the chance to pick her brain and have help. After a couple of days of extreme paranoia and anxiety while posting alone, I realize that everyone is pretty much as confused about who is who as I was. 

 

As for the show, it's only the theme for this game.

Probably the most important "parts" of the game are End Of Days. Thats when votes matter more, and you can review them with flips in mind. I can find around where EOD starts and maybe a good place to start would be to review who voted & who and why with flips in mind (fc & marsh wolves, scruff and darthe villager)

Basically to try and make this easy as possible,

 

Read the posts and try to decide if the person is lying or trying to push an agenda or contradicts themselves a fair bit,  if so more often then not that person is Scum.

 

If you read them and you think the person is telling the truth, not pushing an agenda but seemingly is genuine in trying to figure things out by taking whats there and not trying to manipulate them then prolly Town.

 

I mean thats pretty basic stuff and atp for you vague but its a base to try and work from.

Day phase will start in abt 20 minutes or so. Days last 2 real life days, so important to be voting by then. You can and are encouraged to change your vote as things develop.

 

I wouldnt feel like you need to read the whole thread (it is pretty large) but reviewing smaller important things can help you, liked end of day 1
