I would vote myself if it became an issue. Get's the mislynch out of the way if people are gonna tunnel... Frankly if it's this easy and everyone universally thinks that 2 out of 3 of is scum, I'm not going to survive a town flip on any of the others.

 

As much as I want to win, I also don't want to wait around a week to get lynched as town anyway because your POE is screwed up, if you're that paranoid of me being a snake oil salesman I don't have the energy to fight against the he acts like he knows to much claim, I'm just not emotionally capable of that right now.  If you legit scumread me, vote me off today so I won't be a distraction and you still have numbers advantage.

 

 

As an aside, it's not really an ATE and I hesitate to bring it up, I had news that was just made worse is all and I'm in a dark mood right now, so I'm not going to fight a lynch at all.  I will say I'm Vanilla town so you won't be losing a power role if you're afraid of that.

In the universe where the mods confirm right now that there are NOT two town-aligned vigges, I could see a scenario where Eldrick shoots FC as the serial killer with the intent of claiming vig if need be.  To his surprise (or maybe not?), FC actually was mafia; he knows he looks good.  He claims it.

 

What he hadn't accounted for was the possibility of an actual vig that shot FC, as well.  Once the counterclaim comes, he assumes that claiming 1x is far more likely than multiple full vigges, so he goes that route.  

 

 

I'm not sure this is even a remotely likely scenario at all - just that it's possible.  If it is, he's pretty much damned himself to never shooting again.  With that in mind, I have no problem trying to work around him to clear up the other question marks.

My first game I was cop and at some point 2 people claimed my role, one softing and the other hard claimed. I was furious but knew it would be a bad move to reveal myself. I was super bitter and couldn't get over it and wolf read them both.

This situation is different in that we had one shot, one kill not PR, but I don't want to be blinded by how much it pisses me off. (I high fived myself IRL and begged Bop to let me post "is this EZ mode". He let me high five him.)

in a 12 player game,  i wouldnt think there would be a SK and i wouldnt think there would be multiple villa vigs(regardless if they have limited shots). Especially with a full cop and inno child. Because we know one of the wolves were basic vanilla; so to balance it out you probably would have to have a roleblocker as one of the wolves and if there are even more PRs in the game you really need something for the other one IMO.

A) There are specific, RNG-based setups that allow for dual, triple, or even quadruple roles (C9++ being one example).  I believe this is an entirely custom-built setup, so saying there would or wouldn't be is really pure speculation.  My instincts tell me it's unlikely, but I'm definitely not prepared to rule it out.

 

B)  If you mean him lying as town to cover for the real vig, unlikely.  I had considered the possibility when he first accepted credit ("thank you" to Lindsey is how it was done, IIRC).  I don't think he would get counterclaimed and double down on it.  Like, that's almost game-breakingly bad play.

 

Why mafia would claim a shot: 

1) it's LYLO (it shouldn't be)

2) they're desperate for a mislynch (depending on the team, they shouldn't be)

3) they're stupid

Bold - kind of goes back to more speculation, but it's certainly possible.  I agree with cuth's assessment of lolsk in a 12er, but things happen.

Red - More or less my thoughts on the matter.  But, again, I'm not interested in lynching to resolve a plausible claim when there's a lot of unknowns.
