Any argument which requires I be a blithering idiot to hold true is a garbage argument.

A freaking cop claimed a red peek on Cuth/Nyn.

 

Eldrick had just subbed into the game.  I have played many games with Eldrick and know what hours he actively plays.

 

My options were 1) hammer the red peek and give us an extended silent night phase or 2) give Eldrick an opportunity to lay down some content and then hammer the red peek.

 

Oh hey look the guy who actually did drop an early hammer to minimize room for further content turned out to be their scum mate.

People wonder why I've been erratic and defensive since D3.

 

It's because I have been dealing with things like this since D3.

 

And no matter how many times I explain them in detail, someone comes in ten hours later and makes the same point as if the explanation never happen.

 

You can agree with the explanation or you can find it suspicious.  These are your options.

I said to Shanti a while ago that I avoid defending myself whenever possible because it just leads to endless distraction and frustration when my time could be better spent trying to solve the game.

 

What you have in front of you is what happens when avoiding that ceases to be possible.  There are posts in this game I haven't even read yet.

I dislike that you consider that "jumping" it's not like o jumped on a train, and as perviously stated I don't have strong scum feelings on anyone. I dislike how he reacted the the questions that Dice directed at him, so I voted where I was leaning. It's the best look I've got so far.

 

Red reads like a bit of a set-up when he knows Dice is a wolf.

 

Vs Adella jumping on board with Dice would be a pretty gung-ho play that early as w/w, while the thread vibe irt Dice and Alf was pretty mixed and not a major focal point.

Yeah it's not a good look at this stage.  If I think an action is scummy I'm going to connect it to a player vs if I'm just a frustrated wolf I might toss an ill-conceived accusation in the mix to look like I'm hunting without thinking it through.

 

But I remember liking her follow through with me the next phase so we'll see.

That big read list start of D2 still feels very well conceived.  I don't think she'd be incapable of it because she was pretty decent at faking a solve-oriented thought process in 2 Broke Girls, but she never posted anything nearly this length that I recall in that game.  I suppose this is a much more active game.  I dunno.

Sort of forgets? the suspicion she tossed his way earlier irt him calling her out for her stance on Dice/Alf. But the level of specifics in the read list at large suggests she's re-reading as she goes and would have seen the exchange. Scum might actually be more inclined to bring it up here as a way of demonstrating consistency?

I asked you this before and didn't get an answer; I know it probably seems petty but it's legit eating at me.  What did you think was consistent between last game and his D1 here?

 

Honestly, it was his lack of game related posts. He asked questions about game mechanics, but didn't say much about the game itself, and he started off the exact same way in P+C IIRC.

 

And I really just missed that question, so sorry for the late response.

 

Applying lack of content to reach a village lean vs null on LZM is still really weird, and she later clarified that this wasn't meta-based.

She was talking about Killa here but I can see a continuity in thought process between this and her insisting that I hadn't been developing a read on Dice.  That makes it read more like a failure to communicate than an attempt to misrep me.  Alternative requires faking an extraordinary level of confusion to maintain meta from a player who has very little regard for meta.

 

You'll never get many explicit "I think this is town/scum" comments out of me along the ride towards reaching a conclusion.  I seldom have them.  Villagers think weird/awkward things that don't make sense to me just as often as wolves do.  I lay out what doesn't add up to me and try to gain a feel for their thought process or lack thereof in the back and forth to follow.  (Dice's inability to progress beyond not liking a icon in the joke phase to justify his scum read on me ultimately lead me to doubt he had one.)

Because I've been getting a lot of it all game and a general extreme negativity towards any sign of effort.  Based on what I've seen of the "old way" of playing Mafia it's mostly consisted of lynching people for yucks and sometimes accidentally winning.  Correct way to play is to pull a number out of a hat, call them a wolf, and laugh at them if they're interested in winning.

Maybe my perception of DPR and Shanti is just rubbing off onto my perception of everybody, but this whole business of people gleefully going out of their way to demotivate the field is astoundingly anti-town.

What I basically read this as is preemptive discrediting, "I'm town but look Shad's a wolf and he's going to fake effort to read me so he can justify calling me scum!"

First time I've felt salty about winning a game

 

Kronos is town, there's no way he hard busses dice yesterday to survive to end game on his own.

 

Last mafia is in Dpr or Cass, was going to case them both, but I have no time till this evening. Wouldn't have hammered so early but I have no confidence that Dpr isn't going to fearmong everyone into lynching me for #raisins or because it's 'safe'

 

@dpr sorry for some of my phrasing yesterday, still think you're a wolf etc etc etc
