You do realize I'm basing 90% of my reads off the d1 vote count and flip right?

Do I think dice is scum, quite possibly. But Imo the dude is playing pretty damn close to his last scum game.

I'm reading ed atm, and I'll let you know which way I'm leaning. Lynching you might just be the best bet though lenlo.

To be honest if ed is scum I am highly impressed how he came back into the thread with the pressure he had on him.

Re reading I have him as town and feel very comfortable with that read.

The only problem I have is his latest reads list.

Decided to start at the tip and make my way down since everyone seems to be done posting for the night. Then I should be able to keep up with the game because no more crap going on.

Darthe- with only 24 posts there isn't much to go on, 100% sure Sooh is scum and was sure Adam was town. I also know that he likes the Cavs and doesn't seem fond of Donald Trump.

Sooh- after reading all of Sooh's posts I'm leaning town on her. She has seemed aggressive at times but only when someone has gotten aggressive with her. She has seemed legitimately interested in giving people time to get to their point without jumping to "they aren't answering they must be scum" I don't know the difference between a scum Sooh and a town Sooh as I haven't experienced both. Early on she wanted to quiet the Laughing Man talk but to me it seems truly because she thought all of that speculation would hide wolves as opposed to steering people away from the topic for nefarious purposes.

Dice- has started out the game about the same as the last game I was in with him where he flipped VT. He did seem to be more aggressive in that game as far as scum hunting which makes me recall him saying his town game was extremely aggressive compared to his scum game but he was getting better at faking it. I'm wondering if this is his attempt at faking it. @dice- I am kinda jittery about saying what Zander is wanting because 1. we don't know for sure there is a LD this game (not a big reason but is imo when added to the following) 2. Shad stated in the OP that A healthy dose of creative thinking could be beneficial. I am creatively thinking by wondering if getting all players to say that triggers something. Why no one is questioning it int this game has me slightly baffled. 3. Because no one has questioned it that I've seen.

Seph, Killa, and DPR to follow. Those three have posted more and I'm using a Samsung J1, having to come read a couple posts then switch to my notepad to give any reads, so it's gonna take a bit longer.

Looking over her posts I still love this dice read, and it just had me nodding along the whole time.

I known she gets more active I think? But having just reads lists is slightly bothering

"I take it you heard about the Operator," Ishikawa spoke into the voicecom within the cramped jumble of computers he'd made his office.

"Great way to say Hello," the Major replied with her typical monotone sarcasm. "It doesn't make much sense to follow through on a death threat to the Police Superintendent-General with an actual assassination attempt on Section 9. Do you think it was a diversion?"

"Could be," Ishikawa replied, "but I found something interesting. The coding style used on the assassin doesn't really match up with the Laughing Man. Doesn't look like his penmanship, if you follow me. But it does seem pretty reminiscent of the Puppet Master."

"The unsolved hack on the Foreign Minister's interpreter? What made you dig up that old case?"

"It's what I do."

"He picked an odd day to resurface. I doubt this was a coincidence."

"No, I don't suppose it was. But the only person who should be able to figure out that Section 9 was responsible for the leak about the compromise to the Laughing Man investigation is whoever murdered Yamaguchi. In other words, the same people who'd compromised it."

"And the Laughing Man making threats to the head of the Police gives plausible cover for a generic attack on a government security agency. Is that what you're thinking?"

"Exactly. The Laughing Man is a sort of beloved anti-hero in the public's eye. If we leaked the attack on us tonight, people would just assume we're embroiled in the same scandal as Daito. I think someone linked with Serano Genomics exploited the Laughing Man's threat to take a free shot at us."

"Well if you think they got the Puppet Master on board to do the job for them, then we've got a whole other mess on our hands..."

The Puppet Master case was a novel if disturbing instance of proxy ghost hacking that had never been solved. It started when the Foreign Minister's interpreter got hacked and attempted to assassinate some government officials. The hack was successfully traced, but at the end of that trail Section 9 found, of all things, a run-of-the-mill garbage man.

He had no idea that he was hacking anyone. In fact, he had no idea that he was hacked himself. It was something quite different from a remote takeover of the cyberbrain. He was acting independently with a reprogrammed perception of reality. He'd been fed fake memories of a better life: a wife, a child, a middle class home. It turned out he'd been living as a vagrant in an abandon factory, using random stops on the trash route to distribute malicious software during the day. In his head he was always just making a quick stop on the way home to his imaginary family.

Twisted, but highly effective. His sources were untraceable--probably living proxies just like himself. Interrogating him was like dividing by zero. If you demonstrated any of the logical contradictions in his reprogrammed world in an attempt to break through to him, he just stared off in confusion.

The hacker who accomplished that, whoever he was, came to be known as the Puppet Master. If Ishikawa was right, that same individual might be collaborating with government officials to sabotage the Laughing Man investigation...

I just read tigs, and I am literally lost here. There are a few posts I don't like, one I do like and the rest made me go mehhhhhhhhh, because I can't get a read one way or the other. I don't think I want to lynch her today but im not opposed because she definitely reads scummy to me. But as ed said she can read that way, so I'm worried.

I literally didn't figure her out until late or at all in the last games

I think there are others that are better regardless of flip. And who I think help solve the game more.

I read nyn and didn't really mind her d1. The only thing I noted was the vote of ed over anyone for competing trains in her poe.

She has a good amount of posts d1 compared to d2 which worries me as wolves tend to generally drop post count as the game continues.

If lenlo is mafia I would look here.

Zander, well everyone for that matter...what is it that screams scum to you about me? My low posting? Check out my other games...I'm not a high volume poster. To me it is way to easy for scum to piggyback on the ideas of everyone and not have to give an original thought, gives them room to hide. Because I was weary about posting I am town? Can literally no one understand my thought process on that? In THIS game where there are unanswered questions and players! Because on Day 2 I couldn't say one hundred percent without a doubt what way each player went? Because I wouldn't answer your cop/doc/vk question? How it's that question any different from mine in regards to what if any NA's you think should or shouldn't be tried on him? A little hypocritical wouldn't you say? I wasn't asking people to tell me which NAs they had I was asking for advice. And nobody wants to point out thay I'm right except Killa and Seph dared to agree with one of my reads becauae you have seemed me as scum so everyone skims my posts just to see if their name is in it so they can take whatever I say and twist it into your scummy take on me.

It's not necessary to post 3000 times a game to be a good player. Quality not quantity. I'm the first to admit that my posts haven't been quality, like I said, seph had the nerve to like my read on Dice and sooh had the nerve to like my read on her....HOW DARE THEY?!?!?

My inactivity at the beginning was something that couldnt be helped, I have apologized and that's all I can do. So then I try to start reading people and my dumbself decided to quickly ISO on everyone starting at the top of the players list on OP. Just so happens they were low posters so I was met with scorn for my reads on them and because I was trying to hurry and get something in here to show you all that I was here and I was trying I didn't take the time to go copy and paste the link address to the notepad, type what I thought on that post, comeback for the next post and so on. So then I try to give better reads on the next couple but again I'm not posting 300 posts a day an I'm not engaging in YOUR fishing expedition so I must be scum. Well I'm not.

Everything after Day 1 that I try to say or do is going to come off scummy to you and everyone is more than willing to jump on but they don't even know why they're jumping.

Posted

Tigs my problem is I go back and fourth on your posts alot.

Like the above was a good post imo. But your in my poe because of day 1 vote count plain and simple.

I'm sorry that I am terrible at reading you.... and I promise to try and get better...

Alps regarding nin she is the third highest poster? So I might need to see when her d2 posts start. Seemed to be much more d1

Tigs I don't mind big posta. But reading your is there was a bunch where branch off of your points I think.

Sometimes my eyes glazed over and I had to replace situate myself. I know it isn't your fault as you had alot to say as you were catching up and this game size has been .....

Can you talk to me about my posts regarding the d1 vote count and how you feel about it?

Posted

I keep making that point about you tig. That you are a low volume but high quality poster. For awhile your posts were not up to what you usually manage. They have been getting better but I am concerned. But because they have gone back to your normal way of posting I am voting lenlo hoping you start to look more town or if not then voting you. Zander is a bit much though.

If you are asking about why I didn't vote, it's because I hadn't had a chance to see anything scummy. Once I saw Zander asking everyone to state they were town I was trying to figure out why he would come out so early soft claiming the LD role when in my opinion it could've been handled differently. However, that opinion is based on how I would play that role. I'm still not used to this, pick someone we think is town and follow wherever they lead play style.

I stated this in another game and will say it here, my downfall as a mafia player is that I have a one track mind. When I see something like that, or something I see as scummy, I focus on that one person until I've convinced myself of their alignment. That's why I am no good at these group read, give me your top three scum, what would you do as cop/doc/ vk posts. My strength is ISOing one player at a time and I haven't had the chance to do that. I started this game behind and have been scrambling to catch up while still adulting in rl. When I tried to slow myself down and give better reads, I realized nobody was really reading the damn things so why should I stress to give them.

Ed- I really don't like the whole exchange with Zander where he asks about you being willing to vote DPR, then you vote with a "I think I know where this is going" then the "I thought you knew" or whatever the reply was. I've role claimed being scum and it didn't come off scummier than that. As for your "Tigs, Tigs" comment, sometimes you just have to see the game from different perspectives.

I've explained the interaction in response to DPR. Were you still catching up?

Try from the perspective that you're kind of scummy atm. To myself and other players. The comment wasn't JUST "Tigs. Tigs" btw

What about that perspective?
