Anyone have recommendations on which Discworld novels to prioritize? I know there are a tooon of them, and I don't believe they have to be read in order IIRC.
I've heard a lot about Hogfather and Guards so those two I'd definitely like to read, but don't know a whole lot about the individual books otherwise.
I feel like that should almost be a different thread, but at the same time this thread has shifted topics a lot already so I figure it's fine lol.

I have heard so many good things about Pratchett and have read some excerpts. Definitely will try to get that up higher. Don't have any if his books at this point though which is the problem. Have a lot of other books I've been collecting over the years but never got around to reading.
I always meticulously scan through the book sections of thrift stores. There's a chain bargain book store a couple of hours away (which is where I got the majority of my hardcover WoT books for like $80 total) so I might try to make it down there and check.

Yeah I always read the new SA books immediately and then immediately want the next one!
I'm at CoS in my WoT reread and that's been keeping me busy. It's been a bit since I've done a reread.
Probably will start reading some of the many books I've bought over the years and not read next. Want to get some of the Discworld novels at some point and the Name of the Wind at some point too.
My list is always waaaay too long, which is why I don't do rereads much, but WoT is always in the mix. I'll usually reread SA before the next one coems out too.

Here, better late than never.
Lately I've been trying to take small steps to be healthier. With the weather nicer planning on lots of walks with our new dog

I also think Monty Python and the Holy Grail should be required viewing lol
-
I'll definitely make it one year! Just have to plan ahead.

Breakfast Club is a classic for sure!

You know I've never actually seen it, not gonna lie lol.
So I guess that's not one thing we've got...

I've looked into it, and I mean tickets aren't bad, but it's the travel and lodging I can't quite justify as an expense

He is pretty adorable!
Also
I think I remember the film...

Nice! Some day I'll go to JordanCon...

We actually have a Shiba Inu puppy named Mr. Buttons, can confirm, he is adorable.

It annoyed me because they completely changed the story an ending

I loved Monte Cristo, not the easiest read, but one of my favorite novels.

@Dar'Jen Ab Owain I like your spirit lol

@Dar'Jen Ab Owain I would of course try to make it fun, but no promises lol. My last game went over pretty well though
-
@Mrs. Cindy Gill A general one could be fun too, could just have a specific WoT category, and other random stuff
-
@Ithillian Turambar cool! I'll have to read through that one, I don't think I was around for that one...which also makes me realize how long I've been on this site lol, the one I was thinking of is even older
-
@Songstress I will eventually lol

Without Mafia anymore, gotta have something to get those replies
-
And compile a bunch into categories and what not
-
I'll just need to make the questions phrased as to not make it as simple for those answering to just check the pedia
-
But I figure the Encyclopedia will make it easier to come up with hard questions

Al Jenn did one back in the day, was pretty cool
