  1. When you said nachos with veggies, I pictured a quesadilla with veggies. That sounds good. One of my struggles is eating a diabetic healthy diet.
  2. There is also NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Nami.org I think it's US based only, but they are everywhere in the US, or so I've heard.
  3. Come help the Yellow Ajah celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month. There are lots of discussions, and some are informative. There is a puzzle and a game. It's going to be lots of fun and who knows? You might just learn something new. This event runs May 18th through May 24th.

  5. Mental Health Awareness Month (also referred to as Mental Health Month) has been observed in May in the United States since 1949. During the month of May, Mental Health America, its affiliates, and other organizations interested in mental health conduct a number of activities which are based on a different theme each year. The Mental Health Month ribbon is green, symbolizing Hope, strength, and emotional support for those affected by mental illness. Each year has a theme and this year’s theme is: 2025 Turn Awareness into Action The Turn Awareness into Action theme was chosen for 2025 with the goal of celebrating “the progress we’ve made in recognizing the importance of mental health—and challenging us to turn understanding into meaningful steps toward change.” Source - Wikipedia - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mental_Health_Awareness_Month Here on DM, the Yellow Ajah is celebrating with some games, some discussions, and some information to promote awareness. 6. Stamp Out Stigma around Mental Health May is Mental Health Awareness month, and there are ways you can help stamp out the stigma surrounding mental health and bring awareness to offerings in your area. Here are some resources to help you drive awareness: Yellow Tulip Project - https://theyellowtulipproject.org/ Stamp out Stigma - https://stampoutstigma.com//#about Mayo Clinic - https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/mental-illness/in-depth/mental-health/art-20046477 Online Mental Health Toolkit - https://www.samhsa.gov/about/digital-toolkits/mental-health-awareness-month/toolkit What campaigns or walks are available in your area? 7. Self-Care Discussion Self-Care is so important for your mental health. Self-care is the practice of prioritizing your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being through purposeful engagement in activities that promote health and wellness. It involves consciously attending to your needs to ensure you are healthy, happy, and able to manage life's challenges. Key aspects of self-care: Mindfulness and Awareness: Paying attention to your body, mind, and emotions to recognize your needs and triggers. Physical Needs: Ensuring you get adequate sleep, nutritious food, exercise, and hygiene. Mental and Emotional Needs: Engaging in activities that promote well-being, reduce stress, and improve mood. Spiritual Needs: Connecting with your values, purpose, and faith, which can vary depending on your beliefs. Social Needs: Nurturing relationships with friends, family, and community. So, What do you do for self-care? What would you like to be doing for self-care that you aren’t yet doing?
  8. I hate to say bad things about her, but my mom was pretty manipulative and selfish. We didn't find out until after she passed just how much she trashed talked us all to each other. I guess I've finally forgiven her and I miss the loving mother that I knew her to be, before I learned the truth.
  9. I missed my Mom, which isn't typical of me. My daughter called me her lifelong best friend, which made me cry happy tears. All in all, it was an extremely emotional day.
  10. I missed this! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day.
  11. It's been a slow year for evil.
  12. stabs @DPR. I've missed you too. Since I took a break from writing, which turned into a loooooong break, we lost touch. How are you doing?
  13. Stabs @ed2funy. Where have you been, my little brother? I miss you. But I see you're back in mafia.
  14. Hi Key! How are you?
  15. Leelou told me to come by and say hi. So, here I am. I don't even have time to get on DM every day, let alone play mafia, but I definitely remember the old days fondly. If you reply to this either tag me or quote me, so I'll know you did. PS - vote for Verb, cuz he's usually mafia and it's fun to watch him squirm.
  16. I like healing and learning from the local healer sounds like a good idea.
