I do not recall anywhere telling any particular age for the men. I recall somewhere telling that the men seemed lucky.
Moiraine chose to search for him; she was not told to search.
And like I told at the beginning of the post, the Encyclopaedia site told that Kari was part of Moiraine's book. http://encyclopaedia-wot.org/characters/k/kari_althor.html

The Encyclopaedia site tells that Kari was in Moiraine's book.
Steven Cooper's timeline speculates Moiraine departing for her search on day 47 of the prequel.
by the way, the prequel takes place about 20 years before the start of the main series; not 18 years.

That Sherlock Holmes article to me seems to be entirely fanfiction; both notes seem to be from the name that the page has at the top (currently Lorendiac).
-
the exact words were these::
"Mesaana has fallen," Shaidar Haran whispered. "Three Chosen, destroyed by your actions. The design builds, a lattice of failure, a framework of incompetence."
emphasis mine.
Mesaana I take still lives. if death, "died" & "killed" I take would have replaced "fallen" & "destroyed"; respectively. and if death, I take it would have been revealed in Egwene's & Gawyn's discussion right after the fight.

There is a thread in the structured section that discusses his killer. That thread contains at least most of what both authors told about his death & his killer; and at least most content related to the subject.
-
Actually, Birgitte was ripped out; not spun out. spun out would have been if she came out as a fetus.
-
Memory of Light spoilers are not allowed in this thread; the thread title contains "No AMOL Spoilers".
About the Pattern planning this series; I am not sure. If the Pattern could plan, the planned events could include predictions; not sure about the planned events including non-predicted events.

Arangar seemed to also use Compulsion on her; and also change a number of her dreams.
And giving commands to Delana; and sometimes to Sheriam.
-
There were other White Tower initiates out of the Tower when it broke; besides Egwene.
One other requirement they mentioned in the discussion was that the person be strong in the Power. A number of them were as strong as Suian before Suian was severed; and some of them stronger.
Elayne or Nynaeve could have been considered; yet Elayne was soon to become a queen and Nynaeve still had her channeling block around that time.

According to the Encyclopaedia site, Eye of the World chapter 1 is in late spring of 998NE. They do not yet have a finishing time for Memory of Light; but they tell that the book starts in early summer of 1000NE.
the starscape-only prologue they tell occurs in 991NE.
the Eye of the World prologue takes place some time after the Strike on Shayol Ghul; and I think during the early stages of the Breaking, not entirely sure.

Lan an emotionless stone cold killer? I do not recall such comments in any thread I read.

What can be endured must be endured.
I think that's flipped around. Should be "what must be endured can be endured".
both seem wrong.
Ideal Seek's results for the word "endured"::
-
Mat did one letter before the Sanderson books. Crown of Swords.
Like I told earlier, at least part of his education seemed to come from the memories.
Letter writing might have been one of those things. Not entirely sure.
-
About Mat; at least part of his education seems to come from the memories. Not sure how much came from before he got them.

From which books do the quoted scenes come from?
I have no idea about the printing press.
The Aiel buying books as a priority is from the Shadow Rising after Rhuidean when the clan comes across the Peddler, chapter 37
Moiraine asks Loial about the Forsaken in the Dragon Reborn, chapter 50
I was asking about the ones in the opening post.
-
From which books do the quoted scenes come from?
-
Not sure how many books the Aiel have; or the ratio to holding/sept/clan.
Nobles I guess are taught the most. White Tower initiates I guess would be second.
-
Damer Flinn having one hand? The only character I recall that lost a hand was Rand; Knife of Dreams.
Cindaking? I do not recall a place with that name.
-
In which chapter/chapters are those 2 mentionings?
the female I take to be Moghedien.
-
Sharan prophecy? The first 13 books do not reveal any. From skimming various parts of Memory of Light; caught Demandred mentioning them when speaking to Light-sided characters.
-
The pipe lighting has seemed to me that Rand was still taveren; that his taveren-ness lit the pipe.
told those in another thread.
-
Moridin's body doing the carrying; that was debated in at least 1 other thread. I think the thread about the body swap.

The Dragon Reborn cover and a lot of others is actually a really nice picture, but it isn't at all related to WoT. I mean, it has an ACTUAL DRAGON ON IT. And there are some even worse ones than that.
My copy of Dragon Reborn has Rand reaching for Callandor with Perrin & Mat watching from a distance. I guess you are referring to the French cover.
Once all the trade paperbacks come out with the ebook covers, I'm rebuying all the books. Those covers are great and most of my older mass market paperbacks are in pretty rough shape anyways.
I recall seeing physical Wheel of Time books with e-book covers at a physical store; I think a Barnes & Noble, Colorado Springs, December. Do not remember all those books, but one was Eye of the World; a portion of them I think were paperback.
-
"When dragon is reborn"; different readers might interpret that differently.
some possibilities for those interpretations::
-when the soul entered his body
-when he fulfilled a prophecy
-when he first drew Callandor
-when most characters knew about that
How did Moiraine find Rand?
in Wheel of Time Books

Actually, the timeline gives a time frame for Rand's birth. Danu 2-12.
On none of those days does it explicitly tell that Rand was born.
The main series begins Aine 8. From the midpoint of the time frame, that would be 4 months plus 1 day. from the end, 4 months minus 4 days, or 3 months plus 24 days. from the beginning, 4 months plus 6 days.
Danu, Taisham, Jumara, Saban, Aine.
