  1. With Dalinar leaving a little while ago, the Black Tower is currently without IC leadership. So as a result, we are accepting applications to play the new M'Hael.  We are looking for an NPC character, so that if anything happens to the player or they don't want to play him anymore, the character can be passed on, maintaining IC consistency. The character will NOT count towards your character limit for the division.

Applications are open to any and all current BT members. You don't have to currently be a full ranking Asha'man to apply; though it does not mean you can skip your requirements. The character is not going to be a PC.

Please forward all applications/bios to dmpswbt@dragonmount.com and be sure to include the following:

    Handle:

    Contact info:

    Current Character rank:

How active are you in the BT?

What ideas (IC) do you have for leading the BT?

Why should you (OOC) play the character?

    Proposed M'Hael Bio:

Please be aware this is an IC position only, and don't feel that you have to be an old, well seasoned RPer to apply. We will look more favourably on well thought out bios than general RP experience.

So get those bios in! Applications are open from now until Friday 12th October.

  2. Haha Arette, you know you are at the top of my to bribe list ;)

And since when did Covai turn into one of those vile Kiwis? I mean, Aussie guys don't need sheep with hot chicks like me around  8)

    *coughs*

Covai already knows I'm not going to leave him in peace, and he already knows I think he did an awesome job when he was around. I will try to keep things running as smoothly as possible, starting with a Watchers plotting session as soon as I get a chance to chat online with Andrea ;)

Oh, and I will mention here that Arath is taking over from me as Assistant Division Leader. :)

  3. It worked! Jocelyn hid her surprise, because that would ruin the whole plan, and led the man out of the stables towards the small house she and Rion shared. Maintaining her regal poise, Jocelyn walked straight towards the neglected outhouse, the stench greeting them before they reached the door.

"It's not the most pleasant of chores, but at least you have the added benefit of doing whatever you men do with the Power to aid you." Jocelyn wrinkled her nose and waved towards the door. "What was your name soldier?" Jeffery answered obediently, and Jocelyn nodded. "Well Jeffrey, I know I will be thankful to you for completing the work, as will my...bondmate, Rion."

Slowly she backed from the smell, fishing a handkerchief from her bodice and pressing it delicately against her nose. "That will be all for now, you can let me know when you're done." Jocelyn took a few more steps away, before realising she hadn't even given the soldier her name. She whirled on her heel to face a rather cranky looking Jeffrey. "Oh, my name is Jocelyn." Nodding once more, she retreated a suitable distance from the smell into her house.

  4. Jocelyn was filled with an overwhelming sympathy for the man as he dissolved into silent tears, his stance showing just how uncomfortable he was feeling. "I can't relate to the channeling part, but I know what it's like to be far from home and afraid, we all can." Jocelyn added, glancing up at Rion before stepping forward to place a comforting hand on Tai'Dashan's arm. "Truth be told, sometimes I am still afraid too, but at least now I am home." Warmth filled her voice at the last, thinking on the new home she was making with Rion. She felt a similar warmth flow through the bond from Rion, along with a tinge of jealousy, which she pointedly ignored. She was comforting the man, not proposing marriage!

Marriage...hastily Jocelyn redirected her thoughts. She'd almost given up thinking that Rion would make their fraudulent marriage they had put on for their parents sake a fact. But he was proving either dense or stubborn on the matter, she wasn't sure yet. Still, the perfect way to cement his hold on her and declare it to the world would be to marry her, but maybe he hadn't thought that far yet. At least she shared his bond, something that made her closer to him than anyone else could ever be. Baby steps, she reminded herself.

"I'm sorry I interrupted your meditation, we can leave you to it if you like." Her eyes flicked up toward Rion once more, silently reminding him to curb his jealousy. "Or if you like, I would be happy to listen if you want to talk...about anything, really." Like this mystery woman she reminded him of. A sister? Or maybe a lover? She held a brief suspicion that perhaps he was inventing the tale to draw her closer. He certainly wouldn't be the first to try to lure her away from Rion, but she quickly dismissed the thought as ludicrous.

  5. I have just created a free forum for any BT members who wish to archive their rps somewhere away from DM, just as a safe-guard.

    http://blacktower.phpgalaxy.net

You will need to register (obviously) to post. Please check the board descriptions to find the right place to archive your posts. You don't have to use them, but we will be archiving all important RPs there for anyone to look back at if they like.

This archive is just that - an archive. There is to be NO RPing, NO general chatting, or anything other than storing your rps. Everything else is to be done here. :)

  6. I have a thankyou to make, but sadly she isn't here to see it any more, but if it wasn't for her I wouldn't have read the WoT series, I would never have joined DM (and thus found the love of my life), and would never have joined the WT if not for her blatant recruitment while she was MoN. So my thanks go to Lavinya aka KristenSedai. I'll have to post this on my lj or something so she knows too lol.

  7. Muahahahahahaha!! The power!! *coughs*

*big hugs* You've done a great job in your time, and you know that I'll be harassing you just the same whether you're poking your head in here or not. Thanks for all you did for the div, and for putting up with me! :)

  8. DM Handle: Arath Faringal (2nd BT Character)

    Name: Daevis Thelandran

    Age: 32

    Homeland: Shienar

    Height: 6’4”

    Build: Muscular

    Eye/Hair Color:  Blue/Dark Brown

Distinguishing Marks:  A long jagged scar running from the corner of his left eye to the base of the left ear.

From the day he turned 18 Daevis has defended his homeland from the encroaching blight as a soldier in the Shienaran army.  Always the optimist, he believed for some time that the never ending battle along the frontier will eventually end in victory.

That all ended after 12 years of battles.  The wear of endless battles and skirmishes along the blight and against raiding parties began to take its toll on him.  The loss of many friends throughout the years enhanced the encroaching feeling of despair.  Finally, his wife and two children were carried away in a Trolloc raid, and despite all of his best efforts he was unable to recover them in time.

Like so many others, his battle with the blight became very personal, more of a quest for revenge than victory for the light.  Depression attacked him often and he began to grow reckless in combat, earning him many battle scars including one jagged cut from eye to ear on his left side.  Knowing that nothing he did personally could really damage the Shadow’s efforts only drove him to push himself harder.

When the Asha’man came to Shienar, Daevis leapt at the opportunity.  At last he had an opportunity to become more, to be able to deal a larger blow to the Shadow than ever before.  He was first in line to be tested, and was thrilled to learn that he could indeed learn to channel.

Upon arrival at the farm, Daevis spent every waking moment learning to control Saidin, eager to become a weapon to drive the Dark One’s armies from his home and protect those he has failed in the past.  Daevis in now very focused, using his pain from the past to drive him forward, and using his skill from his former life to aid the Black Tower in any way he can.

  9. Handle: The DarkLord

    Character Name: Lucan Alkier

    E-Mail: thedarklord26@hotmail.com

    Division: Black Tower

    Age: 20

History: Lucan was born into a great Domani merchant family, his mother was disappointed that she had a son and not the daughter that every Domani merchant woman dreams of. His father had died of a sickness three months before he was born. Lucan grew up with an education expected of a successful merchants son. At fifteen he began to have…feelings for his best friend. Confused and a little afraid of these feelings he went to his mother, after telling her she laughed and held him close saying that now she had the daughter she always wanted. She taught him what every Domani woman would teach there daughters, only tweaking the curriculum to account for the fact difference in genders. Finally armed with the seductive knowledge that all domani women had, Lucan gained his first lover. Five years passed, and Lucan and his love had five wonderful years, they had kept there love a secret, but His love’s father found out and did what he thought would put an end to it, he married his son off to some cow faced noble mans daughter. Over the next few months Lucan sunk into a deep depression. His mother noticed that things…happened when Lucan was angry or depressed, odd things. Trees on the land surrounded by there manor would catch on fire, Lightning would strike out of a clear sky. She suspected that Lucan could channel. She was bond and determined not to let her boy end up mad like the stories and tales said he would. She got word of the amnesty for men who can channel from her merchant network. Having one of her trade vessels prepared she and her son set sail for Tear, about three days our of Tanchico Lucan got terribly sick, a sickness that she noticed that his father had died of. Watching and waiting she sat with him for hours as the sickness and fever racked his body. The Light apparently heeded her prayers and Lucan was better. They put into Tear a few weeks later, and began there search for the men who could help Lucan.
