Re Perrin and Bornhald, the trial in the books denies that berserker rage is a defence, so ends up the same that it is revenge of murder of a friend, only the friend is a wolf. i liked most of season 1 and I like most of season 2. it is true there is nothing in S2 I dislike as much as bits of s1e7&8. (not the eye of the world itself, I was fine with that and enjoyed it, but the battle with the Trollocs and Agelmar etc I found really upsetting.)
