Indeed. Home is where she is.

Enjoy your new home, Lily. How long until a new house becomes a home?
And how long until you stop accidentally driving back to your old place before remembering you don't live there anymore? (About two or three weeks for me.)

Thriving. I can't believe my good luck. Back in the autumn, my wife and I put down a contract to have a new house built, and we were lucky to sell our old house in February, just before COVID-19 brought everything to a halt. Now we're sheltered in an apartment until the new house is ready, I get to work from home five days a week (saving my six hours a week of commuting) and financially I'm in great shape.
I'm knocking on wood, all this good luck.

I'm glad you're watching The Rookie, Lily. I seem to recall recommending it to you.
Lady, my wife and I also walked through the MCU in order in which they were first released. I even made a little chart listing the order of movies and their availability.
I've been re-watching New Girl on Netflix lately. I'm partly jealous of the close friendships the main characters share, I'm abashed at the immaturity of the guys, and I juuuuust might have a bit of a crush on Zoey Deschanel.

Happy Birthday, Mistica.

DJ has a fair question.
Assuming that there's no overlap, here is my best estimation.
Because Mel used twice as many units, that's equivalent to two people living there. Call him Mel1 and Mel2.
Karin = 199 days
Mel1 = 77 days
Mel2 = 77 days
Altogether, that's 353 days of usage.
4816 units divided by 353 days equals 13.643 units per day.
R8 463.60 divided by 4816 units equals R1.757 per unit.
Karin: 13.643 units per day times 199 days * R1.757 per unit equals R4 770.18
Mel: 13.643 units per day times (77 days plus 77 days) * R1.757 per unit equals R3 691.50
Together, the two bills equals R8 461.68, which is within 2 of your listed total, the difference due to rounding. You could either eat that difference, or split it between the two. Calculated out, Karin's portion is 56.4% of the total, whereas Mel's portion is 43.6%.

My son also is a big fan of Warhammer40K. He's collected and painted many miniatures himself.
What amazes me is that growing up he always turned up his nose at "art", leaning more toward STEM subjects.
Art is everywhere, I suppose.

Thank you, Dar'Jen.

OMG yes! We have gotten rid of 'so many things' while packing and putting things in storage.
The worst part is unpacking something at your new place, then deciding you don't need it after all and getting rid of it.

Entomology, for sure. Bugs vs. fungi? No contest.
Would you rather it be too warm, or too cold?

Whoah. I too am selling my house this month. We close in a couple of weeks, and we're moving into a temporary apartment while they finish building our new house, slated to be finished in April.
There's nothing to make you question every single bloody thing you've ever bought than having to pack it up and move it somewhere.

KANSAS CITY!!!
Okay, I admit. I saw the game before declaring my undying allegiance.
Museum or Concert Hall?

Yeah, the barest wisping of dust is all we got.
Given that the temperatures the day before were in the seventies, you can be sure that it didn't last long.
-
Every five days we have a morning of cold rain. Even a spot of sleet. And last week--gasp!--actual snow!

A Tarantula, definitely.
Would you rather know the manner of your death? Or the exact date of your death?

Our gym is closed on New Year's Day, so my wife and I walked across the bridge over a local lake. Then we cleaned up the house a bit, and she made chicken soup.
We napped and watched two episodes of The Crown over dinner.
Not much special, but it was a nice day all the same.

Well, I finished it in December, yes, but Christmas doesn't have anything to do with it, if that's what you meant.
I just purchased a 24"x36" canvas, the largest canvas I've ever worked on. Now to decide what I'm going to do with it.

My job is on the analytical side, so painting helps me unlock a different side of my personality, maintain some balance.
Plus, it's fun. Turn a blank canvas into something to look at, to think about, to feel an emotion.
Compliments from others doesn't hurt, either.
