That's completely fair Mat, you've done this quite enough... (way too much).
-
She gets to actually flog you?

Welcome to your Society - Done
WS 12 at this point.
-
-
I have an Aiel, and then just a Freelander named Gabriel, no connection to any other group.
-
It was, I think I was a couple more along, too, but waiting on this one to be approved before posting. I'll have to dig up the posts.
Should be WS 11, now.
-
Thanks Mat, I'd flog you, too, for volunteering again.
Also, note, don't get drunk at a Con with these people... they're tricksome.
-
It's true, Mat was a legend here when I got here...

Just remember that time moves differently here. So, our 15 years is a very, very long time. Lol
Shhh, that makes us legends. Just go with it and nod sagely.
*nods sagely* Its been 15 bloody years?! Oh damn...

I'm going to weigh in on this, by saying, I've never once considered or participated in a main plotline story arc. It has never interested me in the least.
However, I do not think that moving out of the books time frame is a good idea. Especially if that is what differentiates us from other WoT RP sites. I want to play in this world, not one that is made up, in this case.

Ooooh I remember those names. Old, old names. This is exciting news! I'm currently brainstorming how to bring Lavy back into RPs that aren't her current/old story arc without presuming what happens in those, because the not knowing how they play out is half the fun.
If anyone has any ideas for casual RP for a very rusty Gray let me know!
Wait, you used 'old, old'... how long do you think I've been here?

*chuckles* Are you telling me that you agreed to something without knowing what it even was or what it entailed? You must have been beyond drunk. Kudos to Kath lol. Apparently she was making you Warder AGL. Welcome back.
Would hardly be the first time I did that... drunk or sober.
Thanks?

That's why you got your phone out so damned fast.

Set me up, please.

Ahem... *points up* Good?
-
Thanks.
WS 19 then, I could have sworn I finished that last advancement. -
1) Your Handle: _Kynwric_
2) Your Character's full name: Kynwric Larind
3) Your Character's Type and Level Returning: Warder, WS 19 or 20, I think.
4) Do you have see/have access to post on the RP IC boards? See below
5) Do you see/have access to post on the Tar Valon OOC sub boards? I can see this:
White Tower and Warders

OK, so apparently it is a good idea to hand over the entire Warder's Guild to a drunk guy at Con party... but there you go, and thus I'm in charge here... may the light bless us all.

Kyn moved in measured, precise steps and took simple movements to parry or dodge each strike. Ignis did an admirable job of keeping himself covered even while attacking, but the inevitable happened and he left an opening. Kyn took it, moving to his right to first draw the younger man's defense over while striking out with his lathe, pinning both of Ignis' in place with the heavy strike. Then moving slightly, a slide step and a lean, Kyn stuck home with his training weapon into the now completely exposed side of Ignis' ribs. Kyn then pushed himself back and continued his movement to the left to bring his defense back in line and prepared for any strike Ignis might have decided to launch. When he was settled and safe, "Good, that a strong foundation. Something to work with."
-
Kyn was patient, he had never rushed a fight if it could be avoided, and he wasn't the one being trained here and so needed a judge of the boy's skill before he attacked. He adjusted as Ignis approached and readjusted as Ignis shifted his feet to try and move himself around Kyn's defense. Good, he's not a woolhead when it comes to a fight. The attack wasn't unexpected, it was the obvious choice for the defense that was being presented, Kyn dodged the slash, taking a step backwards and to his right while maintaining his defensive posture. He waited for Ignis to continue.
OOC: Write the fight, you can assume Kyn will dodge or parry anything Ignis attacks him with at this point and will only strike if Ignis is completely out of position.

The main literature of the Medieval Period, that being fictional is wrapped up in very few authors. One being Chretien de Troyes, and his works on Arthur under the patronage of Marie of France (a daughter of Elanor of Aquitaine). He is one of the forerunners of the idea of Courtly Love. You also, of course have Mabinogian cycle, which deals with many of the same themes. For the High Medieval period, these along with the Song of Roland comprise most of the well known works. You start getting into some others later in the period, but really they are running into the Renaissance, not really Medieval.

A pity I can't come in your group
In the ones I have been so far, women need to have their head covered if they are married -.- (if they don't, they get teased ... i can get a bit of teasing but sometimes i am just in a hulk mood lol)
and these are usually smaller communities with only a small choice of activities compared to what yours has to offer O.O
(the covered period is also the 14th century which wasn't the best fashion-wise )
Chae,
Here's the local group info for the SCA in Beligum.

Welcome back, some of that @Taymist or @Kathleen will have to answer.
The WS posts have always been reported on DM, though, at least for as long as I can remember.
